This is the face you make when you see the termites in a wall that some other contractor just installed a new window over and left it like that. Sometimes you can’t believe your own eyes. Why do that?
This window looked like a normal new window from the outside. It’s sometimes hard to detect termites but when you know what you are looking for you can generally find a few.
We eliminated them entirely by taking all the damaged wood out. We installed new treated wood. We actually installed the same window (not wood) back.
We fixed the damage that was caused by a leak on the porch and the leak was actually due to a incorrectly built and flashed porch.
So, the porch let water behind the wall and into the window. The water then made it convenient for the termites to eat and drink but we put a end to that buffet!
This termite damage appears to be way older than the window that’s why I said the window was installed over termites. The leak is older also. Watch who y’all hire, everyone wants to make the bug bucks but not everyone is concerned with doing a good job for those big bucks! Ask around or something, get references, it’s up to you! etc. we’ve seen our share of termites this year in particular so be vigilant and best of luck to you all!

It’s nice to have a little shop that doesn’t leak for a change! It’s been long over due. I have been kind of moving tools around the roof leaks for a while! lol. I still have to work on the bottom of the wall and paint and I still want to eventually build a pole barn structure in the back but my shop needs kind of comes last as it were, When we have customers that want work done my shop goes on the back burner. The actual jobs comes first but when I finally do get to work on my own stuff I do enjoy it and I’m so thankful to my guys for helping me do this work on the hottest days and in full afternoon sun! It was hot as hell and it will separate the men from the boys, but we were getting it done!
Now to place tools, not according to leak dodging but according to usefulness. If anyone was wondering, we bought that roof material from S&S Steel right here in Arnaudville and except for the trim we didn’t have to cut one piece of metal. We just gave S&S the dimensions and they put the order together perfectly easy as can be.
It’s not finished yet in the pictures but you get the idea! I had smoky panels left over for a job so I figured natural light it is and I like that decision as it lets in light and shows the structure at night across the bayou if you are looking this way.

A little bit of roof work is inevitable when we are getting rain off and on. We are gonna wash this roof and go on the inside with moisture readers to see what the damage is and try to trouble shoot the problems of moisture getting in. We will find all the wet places no matter weather you can see them now or not! Let’s Go! This type of work, where others have failed to find the leak, is challenging, and we are up for the challenge! Gonna cut those limbs back also!

Its been a long summer and the mold is out of control but we are putting it back into control by washing it with bleach and pressure washers!
Let us know if you want us to make your place to look spiffy again! Don’t wait until the holidays to book us, do it this week!

The washer would shake violently.
We found out that there was rot under the washer so we pulled it out,
Removed all the rot and sturdied the heck out of the floor.
We then insulated it and installed the plywood to get ready for floor installation… that’s not going anywhere and we did it all rather quickly!
