Avanza Landscaping & Maintenance

We want to thank Landscape Management for featuring us in their recent edition, and including us as a Rising Star in the industry.

Everyone in our industry works hard, but what helps us get to the next level is our team, and learning from the folks we surround ourselves with like Granum LMN by Granum, McFarlin Stanford | Landscape Business Coaching, Marty Grunder: Landscaping

We don’t believe in “all work, no play” at Avanza! It gives us an opportunity to represent the same dedication, teamwork, and commitment that drives us every day 💚🧡.

Avanza is proud to be part of our local community and in this case participate in the Alexandria Soccer Association adult league ⚽️. It’s also fun to see other companies show up that we know like Premier Aquatics

We’re grateful to live, work, and play alongside so many great people!

Big things are happening at Avanza 🌱⚡

Today during our morning tailgate talk, we officially introduced our new electric equipment to the team. We spent time going over how the equipment works, best practices for use, and getting everything assigned to crews for the season ahead.

This transition is part of our continued commitment to innovation, efficiency, and delivering a more sustainable experience for our clients and communities.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and proud of our team for always embracing growth and new technology. 👏

Have you noticed more landscaping companies making the move to electric equipment?

We love doing this employee of the month award! It gives us an opportunity to recognize people in front of the whole team, outside of just a “thank you”.

Our most recent recipient is Obdulio, or “Lulo” as all of us call him. He’s been with Avanza from very near the start. There is so much to say about this guy.

A lot of managers and homeowners have heard our Noe say that he gets yelled at by our guys when they have to wait for materials or orders, and that they hate waiting around…. Obdulio is the main one yelling (yes at Noe). He exemplifies hard work and pushing others to work hard. For a few years, he was on Nardy's crew (Noe's wife), and their dynamic was to see who could outwork each other.

But Lulo represents our core value of “people first” all the time. While he gives everyone a hard time, he’s the first one to share food off his plate for the guy that forgot his lunch. Or teach the new guy that everyone else said is unteachable.

Our team is the best, and they know they are loved, but it’s fun getting to award individuals on them representing our core values.
