Grawe Landscaping and Excavating: Transforming Your Outdoor Space
Imagine stepping into a backyard designed to blend style with purpose. We recently completed a full-scale makeover that turned this landscape into an inviting, functional retreat. Large flagstone steppers, bordered with native Brazos River rock, create a natural path through the yard, while a new garden bed supports homegrown fruits and vegetables for a sustainable touch.
To protect the property from moisture issues near the garage, we installed a catch basin drain in the front yard, effectively diverting water and preventing mold. We also cleared a large oak tree to open up sunlight for a lush, extended sod area. The outdated railroad ties struggling to support the home against floodway erosion were replaced with durable, natural boulders that offer both stability and rustic charm.
An aging wooden deck was replaced with a stronger, modern design. With 3-foot-deep concrete footings and secure Simpson Strong-Tie fittings, the new composite decking and sleek metal railing add a polished, long-lasting touch to the space.
For soft, green coverage, we added St. Augustine sod, contrasting beautifully with the flagstone steps. In the front yard, oversized decorative pots add a distinctive look, while a custom board-on-board fence and gate replaced an old brick wall, providing easier access. Natural Oklahoma stone steppers complete the look, guiding visitors down to the lower landscape.
From a fresh new deck to thoughtful drainage solutions, this project is all about creating a beautiful, functional outdoor environment. Discover more transformations and schedule your consultation at [grawelandscaping.com](http://grawelandscaping.com).
