Need a welder for a repair, fabrication project, or something that needs built from scratch?

Tactical Tradesman LLC handles welding both on site and in our garage shop. Mobile welding is available when the project can be completed safely at your location, while smaller repairs and custom fabrication projects can be brought to us.

We handle everything from trailer and equipment repairs to stairs, handrails, doors, chutes, structural fixes, aluminum repairs, and custom metalwork. We can read blueprints, build to spec, and work with both homeowners and local businesses.

• Stick, MIG, and flux core welding
• Trailer and equipment repairs
• Handrails, fencing, stairs, and structural repairs
• Aluminum repairs
• Custom fabrication and metalwork

Whether the goal is getting equipment back in service, reinforcing something that has failed, or turning an idea into a finished metal project, we take pride in doing the work right. That includes custom pieces like horseshoe projects and welding work for other local businesses, including Stanley Steemer.

October is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month. 💚

According to SAMHSA’s 2025 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, an estimated 19.7 million U.S. adults, or 7.4%, experienced a major depressive episode in the past year.

Behind those numbers are people we know. Parents, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and people who might never tell us how difficult their days have become. Depression deserves our attention throughout the year. This month gives us another opportunity to learn, challenge hurtful assumptions, and make our conversations more welcoming.

We can start by listening without rushing to offer a solution. By checking in again. By letting someone speak honestly without expecting them to make their struggle easier for us to hear.

To anyone carrying this quietly: you deserve to be taken seriously. Your pain does not need to be visible to matter.

Today is Purple Thursday, October 15, 2026. 💜💜

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and today we wear purple to stand with survivors, honor those whose lives have been lost, and raise awareness about domestic violence!

Domestic violence doesn't always leave visible bruises. Abuse can take many forms, including emotional manipulation, intimidation, threats, isolation, financial control, and physical or sexual violence. Someone experiencing abuse may be a friend, neighbor, coworker, family member, or someone we pass every day without knowing what they're going through.

Today is an opportunity to remind survivors that they deserve safety, dignity, respect, and support. We can all make a difference by listening without judgment, believing survivors, sharing resources, and helping create communities where people feel safe asking for help.

Strong passwords matter! Using the same password across Facebook, email, banking, business accounts, and shopping sites creates a bigger problem if even one of those accounts is compromised. A password manager can help create and store unique passwords without having to remember every single one.

Whenever possible, turn on two factor authentication too. It adds another layer of protection even if someone manages to get your password.

For small businesses especially, one hacked email or social media account can create problems far beyond the original login.

October is Careers in Construction Month, a nationwide effort focused on introducing more people to the opportunities available in construction and the skilled trades.

For a long time, there has been this idea that college is the “main” path after high school and the trades are something you fall back on. That does a huge disservice to the people building, repairing, fabricating, installing and maintaining the things we all rely on every day.

Construction currently employs more than 8 million people across the United States, and the industry continues to need skilled workers in everything from welding and electrical work to carpentry, plumbing, heavy equipment, HVAC, masonry and countless other specialties.

These are careers that require training, problem solving, precision, experience and a willingness to keep learning. For the right person, they can also offer something a lot of jobs cannot: the ability to step back at the end of the day and physically see what you helped build.

There is more than one way to build a successful future, and the skilled trades deserve to be presented as one of those paths from the beginning.
