Important information for homeowners with storm damage:
If the electrical service mast attached to your home was damaged during the tornado, it must be repaired by a licensed electrician before Menasha Utilities can safely restore power to your property.
The service mast is the metal pipe and weatherhead where the overhead power lines connect to your home, usually near the roof. (Example photo below)
Menasha Utilities is responsible for the power lines leading to your property, but the service mast attached to the house is the homeowner’s responsibility.
Please contact an electrician as soon as possible if you notice the mast is bent, broken, leaning or pulled away from your home. Please refer to Menasha Utilities for information about electricians in the area.
For your safety, stay away from damaged electrical equipment and downed wires.
