Before it looks like a home | House in the Hills

We have two custom homes underway in Hackberry Hills, and this is House in the Hills—an organic modern home taking shape in Hortonville.

Right now, the work is all about what will support the home for years to come. The basement foundation has been poured with foam insulation, materials are arriving, and we’re preparing to begin framing this week. Soon, the plans on paper will become rooms you can walk through.

This phase may look quiet compared with the changes that happen during framing, but there’s a lot happening behind the scenes: checking measurements, coordinating crews and deliveries, and working around Wisconsin weather. We’ll keep sharing the process as House in the Hills comes to life.

A look at the foundation phase of our Hackberry Hills custom home in Hortonville. The basement walls have been poured, and we’re preparing for framing to begin this week.

A foundation is where the details that support the whole home come together, from the site work and concrete to the foam insulation around the basement. It’s exciting to see the plans take shape above ground next.

A little behind the scenes of our custom light fixtures coming to life ✨

These pieces just finished production after working closely with our vendors on the exact dimensions, finishes, lighting temperatures and overall design. Before anything ships, we have each fixture photographed, tested and inspected so we can verify that every detail is right.

We can’t wait to get these in our hands and see them installed in our custom homes! 🏡
