Don’t worry, this is NOT sewage! 😂 Just mud… a whole lot of mud.

The worst time to find out your shutoff valve doesn’t work? When you need it most. 💧

This customer’s toilet was leaking around the base and needed a new wax ring. After pulling the toilet, we discovered another issue: a faulty water shutoff valve.

That small valve has a big job. When it doesn’t work properly, it can mean:

🔧 No way to stop water at the toilet if a supply line breaks or the toilet overflows.
💧 Leaks from the valve itself that can damage flooring, baseboards, and subflooring.
🚫 Having to shut off water to the entire home for a routine toilet repair.
💸 More extensive water damage when you can’t stop a leak quickly.

A wax ring and a shutoff valve do different jobs, but both matter when it comes to keeping water where it belongs.
