June is National Safety Month.

At Divergent Alliance, safety is not a slogan and it's not something we focus on only when conditions are difficult. It's part of every job, every crew, and every decision we make.

From storm response and transmission construction to underground work and daily operations, our people face real hazards every day. The best way to prevent incidents is through preparation, accountability, and looking out for one another.

This month, we encourage every employee to recommit to the fundamentals:

✅ Identify hazards before work begins
✅ Participate in thorough job briefings
✅ Wear the proper PPE every time
✅ Stay focused and avoid complacency
✅ Speak up when something doesn't look right

Safety is not measured by the number of days since the last incident. It is measured by the choices we make every day to protect ourselves, our coworkers, and the public.

Let's make June a month of renewed commitment to sending everyone home safely, every day.

At Divergent Alliance, safety isn’t a talking point. It’s how we operate.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

This industry doesn’t talk about it enough.
Long hours. Time away from home. High risk work. Pressure to perform. Day after day. It builds up. And in a male dominated trade, too many people still think they have to carry it alone.
That mindset needs to change.
We talk about brotherhood and sisterhood in the union. About having each other’s backs. About being your brother’s keeper.
That doesn’t stop at the jobsite.
It means checking in. It means speaking up. It means asking a simple question and actually listening.
You don’t need to fix it. Just showing up matters.
If someone looks off, say something.
If you’re not alright, say something.

We want to thank DTE Energy for hosting yesterday’s Outage Restoration Contractor Meeting.
A lot goes into planning sessions like this. Getting everyone aligned on expectations, communication, and ex*****on is what makes the difference when restoration work needs to move fast and get done right.
We appreciate the time your team put into walking contractors through your new URMA application and how it will support faster, more effective response for your customers. Having that level of visibility and coordination only makes us stronger partners in the field.
These are the kinds of working sessions that matter. Better alignment now leads to better outcomes when it counts.
