This is one of the most common misconceptions we hear in the showroom, and the marketing around salt systems doesn't help.

What the label doesn't tell you:

→ pH drifts upward with salt systems, so you'll balance that more than a traditional pool
→ The salt cell needs cleaning every few months to prevent calcium buildup
→ Salinity, hardness, and stabilizer still need regular testing, not "set it and forget it"
→ Skip maintenance and your cell wears out faster, water quality slips first

Don't expect zero maintenance. Expect softer water, fewer fumes, and less chemical handling day to day. A legitimate upgrade for a lot of Central Louisiana homeowners, just know what you're trading, not what you're skipping.
