Worthy Plumbing & Construction

There’s a lot more to plumbing than knowing how to turn a wrench. 🔧

Before the shower. Before the fixtures. Before the pretty finishes… there’s a plan.

Here’s Jeremy going over the blueprints for a bathroom shower on one of our new construction projects. Every measurement, connection, and placement matters. And knowing how to read those plans and make everything work together takes knowledge and experience.

It’s also why who you trust with your plumbing matters. Handyman experience and professional plumbing experience aren’t the same thing. With more than 20 years in the trade and his Master Plumber credential, Jeremy brings years of knowledge to every project our team takes on.

A lot of what makes a plumbing job good will eventually be covered by walls, floors, and beautiful finishes. But long after you can’t see it anymore, it still has to work.

That’s why we believe in doing it right from the start.

Ever wonder what it’s like to work with Mr. Worthy? 😂

We’re going to start taking y’all behind the scenes a little more around here—not just showing you the finished product, but showing you what plumbing actually looks like day to day…and maybe a little of what it’s like working with Jeremy. 😆

People ask his wife all the time, “What’s it like being married to him?”
Well…now y’all might start getting a glimpse. 😂

There’s a whole lot of hard work that goes into what our guys do, but if you know Jeremy, you know there’s usually some cutting up mixed in too.

⚠️ And a little disclaimer before we start sharing more behind the scenes: We cannot guarantee that all Worthy Plumbing content will be PG-rated. 😂 Jeremy is, well…Jeremy. So viewer discretion is advised—especially if little ears are listening or you decide to hit play with your volume all the way up in public. Consider yourself warned. 🤣

We’re excited to start showing y’all more of what happens behind the scenes—the work, the plumbing, the guys, and apparently…what it’s really like to work with Mr. Worthy. 🔧😂

Welcome to Behind the Scenes with Worthy Plumbing. 🐶🔧

We have a feeling this could get entertaining. 😂

Built for lake days, pool days, and everything in between. 🚿☀️

An outdoor shower is one of those additions that’s both practical and just plain nice to have. Rinse off after a day on the lake, wash away the chlorine after a dip in the pool, clean up muddy little feet… or give those four-legged furry children a bath without bringing the mess inside. 🐾😂

From the plumbing you never see to the fixtures that finish the space, the details matter. Whether you’re building new, remodeling, or adding something custom to your home, Worthy Plumbing & Construction can help bring those ideas to life.

Because sometimes plumbing is about fixing a problem… and sometimes it’s about creating something you’ll enjoy for years to come.

Plumbing can be pretty, too. 🛁

We talk a lot about the plumbing you don’t see…the pipes behind the walls, under the floors, and beneath your home. But every once in a while, we get to show off the part you do see.

And this one deserves a moment. 👏

A beautiful freestanding tub, a gorgeous fixture, and one more piece of this new home coming together.

Whether we’re roughing in the plumbing before the walls ever go up or installing those final fixtures that bring the whole room to life, the details matter from beginning to end.

For us, supporting our community is personal.
🩵❤️

Worthy Plumbing is proud to support Horseshoe Bend High School and the students who make our community such a special place.

And sometimes, we get to cheer a little louder from the sidelines. 😉

That’s our daughter, Charleigh, out there representing the Generals as a JV cheerleader. As a family owned local business, these are the things that mean the most to us. We don’t just work in this community. We live here, raise our family here, and cheer for these kids right alongside you.

From the classroom to the field, court, sidelines, and beyond, we’re proud to support the students, teachers, coaches, and families who make Horseshoe Bend what it is.

Here’s to a great year, Generals! ❤️🩵

Plumbing isn’t always a glamorous job.

Sometimes it means squeezing into tight spaces, crawling under houses, and working in places most people would rather avoid.

A lot of the plumbing that keeps your home running is tucked away where you never see it. And when there’s a problem underneath the house, you need someone willing to get under there, find it, and get it taken care of the right way.

Because when something goes wrong under your house, somebody’s gotta go under there. Might as well be us. 😉

At Worthy Plumbing, we’re here for the jobs you can see AND the ones you can’t.

Whether it’s a small repair, a service call, a remodel, or new construction, our goal is simple: do the job right and take care of our customers.

🚨 QUICK HOMEOWNER QUESTION:

If you had a major leak in your house RIGHT NOW… would you know how to shut the water off?

If not, don’t feel too bad. Apparently, even the plumber’s wife had to learn this one the hard way. 🤣

A couple of years ago, the Worthys had a plumbing issue at their own house. There was just one tiny problem…

The PLUMBER wasn’t home. 😂

So there was Jeremy’s wife, home by herself with their baby boy, trying to deal with water going where water definitely was NOT supposed to be going… all while Jeremy was on the other end of the phone trying to explain how to shut off the main water supply.

We can only imagine how calm and peaceful that conversation was. 🤣🤣

“Go to the shutoff.”

“WHERE IS THE SHUTOFF?”

“Turn the valve.”

“WHICH VALVE, JEREMY?!” 😂

Thankfully, she got the water shut off until Jeremy could get home, but a very important lesson was learned that day:

👉 Being married to a plumber does not mean plumbing knowledge transfers through marriage.

And more importantly…

👉 EVERYONE should know where their home’s main water shutoff is and how to use it.

Because the middle of a plumbing emergency is NOT the ideal time to learn. Trust us….. 😂

So consider this your friendly reminder from Worthy Plumbing: take a few minutes today and find yours. Make sure the other adults in your home know where it is too.

And if you ever find yourself standing in water yelling “WHICH VALVE?!”…

❄️ Is your plumbing ready for winter? ❄️

We know… it’s Alabama. 😂 One day it’s 85° and the next we’re digging out the winter coats. But those freezing temperatures WILL eventually get here, and your plumbing needs to be ready when they do!

A little preparation now can help prevent a BIG headache later. Before the first freeze, make sure you:

🔧 Disconnect outdoor water hoses
🔧 Insulate exposed pipes in unheated areas
🔧 Check outdoor faucets for leaks or drips
🔧 Know where your main water shutoff is located
🔧 Have any small plumbing issues repaired BEFORE cold weather hits

And if you have a lake house or property that sits empty during the winter, proper winterization is especially important.

Frozen or busted pipes can cause thousands of dollars in water damage, and unfortunately, we usually get those calls AFTER the damage is done.

Don’t wait until the temperature drops to start thinking about your plumbing. A little preparation now can save you a whole lot of trouble later.
