We are sharing some tips on how to keep your flowers fresh longer and extend the vase life after you bring them home. Just like us, flowers need some TLC, as well.

- Start with a clean vase with fresh water. They say you should be able to drink out of the vase, that's how clean the vase and water should be. Don't forget the flower food!

- Cut the stem at an angle so the flowers can absorb water easily.

- Remove any leaves below the water line. This helps with keeping the water less murky and keep the bacteria away.

- Change the water every 1 or 2 days. Flowers need fresh water just like we do.

- Everytime you change the water, trim the stems about an inch. The stems get clogged and cutting them will help absorb water better.

- Keep flowers away from direct sunlight and heat. Flowers love sunlight when they are growing but not after they are cut.

- Remove any spent or wilted flowers. Some flowers have longer vase life than other so removing any spent flowers will keep water from getting cloudy and extend the life of the flowers.

We have been keeping a secret! Well, it's more like we forgot to mention it because the flower season started and we got busy!

After 7 years of being together (1 year engaged), we decided to say "I do" on June 14. It was just the 2 of us and our buddy, Sargeant. I am officially an Onuschak, it's going to be fun to hear all the pronunciation of the name 🤣🤣.

God led us to meet in an unexpected way and I am so thankful for this life that we have build. Looking forward to leading a life together with his guidance!

This weekend's bouquets are featuring the diva, lisianthus. She is truly a diva since she takes forever, when I say forever I mean it, to grow.

We started these from teeny tiny seeds in January, under grow lights. The seedlings are so tiny you can't even see them. We watered, fertilized and nurtured these seedlings to full size plants with these fluffy blooms. They are so much work but the beauty of these flowers are truly worth the time and money.

This is the best lisianthus crop we have had in the 4 years. Bonus, the blooms last for over 2 weeks in a vase. Did I convince you to buy a bouquet with these beauties in it yet?
