Everybody wants the result. Very few people respect the timeline.

It’s easy to look at where someone is today and assume it happened fast.

The bigger team.
The opportunities.
The growth.
The environment.
The confidence.

But most of the time, you’re looking at the result of years of work nobody saw.

1GM started with a handful of people meeting at Starbucks.

Now the room looks different.

But the work behind it didn’t happen overnight.

And neither did the personal growth.

Even after years of pushing toward bigger financial, physical, and personal goals, doubt still shows up.

The difference is learning how to recognize it, reach for the right people, remember what you’ve already overcome, and keep moving.

That’s what growth really looks like.

Not never doubting yourself.

Just getting better at not letting doubt control you.

That’s what 1GM is.

A reminder that the finish line people see is usually built on years of unseen work.

You can look successful in one area and still be losing everywhere else.

That’s something a lot of people don’t talk about.

You can be on stage.
You can be getting recognition.
You can look like everything is working.

And still be struggling financially.
Still be unhealthy.
Still be disconnected.
Still be avoiding the parts of your life that need the most work.

The real pressure starts when you decide to stop compartmentalizing growth.

When you start trying to build your faith, your family, your fitness, your finances, your relationships, and your leadership at the same time.

That takes grit.

And it takes people around you who are willing to challenge you when your ego wants to protect the version of you that’s comfortable.

Sometimes the frustration you feel toward the people pushing you isn’t because they’re wrong.

It’s because they’re asking you to become someone you haven’t fully become yet.

That’s what 1GM is.

A brotherhood that isn’t satisfied with helping you win in one area while everything else gets ignored.

The goal is to build the whole person.

Happy Birthday, Rob.

It’s hard to put into one post what you mean to this group because your impact isn’t just in the company.

It’s in the mornings when you’re the first one up.

It’s in the walks when nobody feels like going.

It’s in the hard conversations.

It’s in the way you push people when you know they’re capable of more.

It’s in the way you care about our faith, our families, our health, and the men and women we’re becoming just as much as you care about the business.

You’ve challenged a lot of us in ways we probably didn’t always want in the moment, but needed.

You’ve shown us that leadership isn’t about having all the answers.

It’s about going first.

Showing up first.
Taking responsibility first.
Holding the standard first.
And then reaching back and bringing other people with you.

A lot of what 1GM has become is because you were willing to believe in something before the rest of us could fully see it.

And because of that, people have changed.

Families have changed.
Lives have changed.
Standards have changed.

More than anything, we’re grateful for who you are when the cameras are off and the meetings are over.

A brother.
A friend.
A leader.
Someone who genuinely wants to see the people around him win.

Integrity isn’t what you say, it’s what you do when no one’s asking.

We recently replaced a roof for an older couple here in the NE Heights. Their only roof access was an old, unstable staircase they weren’t comfortable using.

So we added a brand-new staircase, free of charge.

Not because it was in the contract, but because it was the right thing to do.

Now they can safely access their roof and enjoy their view of the Sandias with confidence.
That’s how we do business at 1 GM Construction.

At 1 GM Construction, a roof inspection is never just a quick walk.

When we do a property walk, we’re looking for the things that quietly cause long-term damage, not just what’s obvious.

One of the biggest issues we see is ponding or puddling water on flat and low-slope roofs.

Standing water may look harmless, but over time it can:

- Accelerate membrane breakdown

- Weaken seams and flashing

- Increase leak risk around penetrations

- Add unnecessary structural stress

That’s why we take the time to inspect slope, drainage paths, and low points, and why we make sure roofs are properly sloped and corrected, not just patched.

Our goal is simple:
Do it right the first time, protect the property long-term, and give owners clear visibility into what’s happening on their roof.

At 1 GM Construction, replacing a roof isn’t just about shingles or materials, it’s about taking full responsibility for the problem we’re hired to solve.

When a roof has failed, interior leaks often come with it. That’s why we don’t stop at exterior work alone.

If we’re replacing a roof, we make sure interior leak damage is properly addressed as well, so homeowners and commercial partners aren’t left coordinating multiple trades or dealing with unfinished issues.

This is how we operate:
- We assess both exterior and interior impacts
- We document damage clearly with photos and reporting
- We communicate expectations up front
- We stand behind our work from start to finish

We take care of our customers, and we take care of our commercial partners just as seriously. Trust is built by doing what you say you’ll do, especially when it requires extra effort.

That’s the standard we hold ourselves to on every project.

Our team at 1 GM Construction spent an afternoon with Los Ojos de la Familia, packing and delivering more than 60 boxes of food to families right here in our community.

Construction is what we do, but people are why we do it.

Giving back reminds us that strong communities are built the same way strong homes are built, with care, consistency, and showing up when it matters. We’re grateful for organizations like Los Ojos de la Familia that are on the front lines supporting families every day, and we’re proud to support their mission.

Thank you to our team and everyone involved who made this possible. This is New Mexico, and this is community.
