❄️ Freezing Temps Are Here, New Mexico! ❄️

We’ve enjoyed some beautiful weather, but those freezing temperatures have officially arrived. If you haven’t already, here are a few simple steps you can take to help protect your home from cold-weather damage:

✅ Disconnect and drain outdoor hoses
✅ Cover exterior hose bibs/spigots
✅ Insulate exposed pipes (especially in crawlspaces, garages, and exterior walls)
✅ Seal drafts around doors and windows
✅ Keep cabinet doors open under sinks to allow warm air to circulate
✅ Set your thermostat to maintain a consistent temperature, even overnight
✅ Know where your main water shut-off is—just in case

A little preparation now can help prevent frozen pipes and costly repairs later. Stay warm and take care! 🧣🔥

It's been a warm Fall In Albuquerque. For the next 14 days Albuquerque weather is expect to hover around 60 degrees (give or take 5 degrees) for the days, and averaging about 34 degrees for the nights. According to the chart only one night will drop into freezing. But don't let it fool you. Freezing temps can slide in without much notice. If you live near the mountains temps can be lower. It's best to do your winter routine before the freezing weather hits. Your winterizing can include items like checking that pipes are wrapped and your outdoor hoses are disconnected, test your smoke and carbon dioxide detectors. Happy Winter!
