Next deck job underway. Fixing all the rot first.
New deck will be 24 foot by 12 foot. Using 2x10 dimensional lumber with 2x12 double beams this deck will be built solid.

We will be installing 2 types of flashing to prevent this rot problem from ever happening again.

She just needs some solar light caps and she's a finished job.
Pressure treated grade #1 decking.

Small deck we did last week. Even the smallest jobs get the same details. Footings,2x10 dimensional lumber, double carry beams, solid railings. Balusters cut to fit and not ran long. Solar lights, #1 decking and permits because thats important to us and it should be important to the customer.

There's a reason why we dont use composite materials from the big box store.
Ive been called out to look at 2 decks that were only 2 years old and this is the problem we have found. Boards cupping and boards popping up. And the worst part is neither of the contractors will do anything about it.
