Our Little Homestead We have taken our small 5-acre property and are working hard to become self-sufficient. We are teaching our granddaughters some lost skills.

Growing and preserving our food, hunting and preserving our meat, raising chickens, ducks, goats and turkeys.

Today did NOT go as planned! Kona decided it was a good idea to make friends with a skunk first thing this morning.

While I was down fishing with our son, the frost made an appearance :-( last harvest for me other than my lettuce, carrots and tomatillos. Making some green tomato pie fillings to can tomorrow :-)
