🔨🏡 BIG DECK PROJECT UNDERWAY IN YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO! 🏡🔨

We’re out in Youngstown, Ohio this week working on a BIG one trying to beat the cold weather! 💪🏼

This 14' x 36' deck is currently under construction, and we’re working hard to get this project completed as quickly as possible while still making sure every detail is done the right way.

📐 14' x 36' ... 504 square feet of deck!

That’s a LOT of decking, framing, cuts, measurements, and details that go into a project this size!

Our goal is to get this one wrapped up quickly so our customers can start enjoying their new outdoor space. 🌞🍔🍹

Projects like this require careful planning from the framing and structure all the way through the finished decking. We take the time to make sure everything is properly measured, securely installed, and built to last.

🚧🏡 DRIVEWAY & GARAGE ENTRY TRANSFORMATION IN TALLMADGE, OHIO! 🏡🚧

This Tallmadge homeowner called A Handyman & His Wife because she had a problem at the bottom of her garage entrance that wasn't just an eyesore ... it was affecting how tightly the garage door met the driveway.

The existing area had an asphalt section, an uneven bump, and a noticeable gap beneath the garage door. The goal was simple:remove the problem area, correct the elevation, and create a smooth concrete transition that would allow the garage door to sit level and tight against the concrete.

🔨 HERE'S WHAT WE DID:

✔️ Completely removed the existing asphalt
✔️ Excavated the area by hand
✔️ Removed and replaced the existing drainage
✔️ Properly prepared the area for the new concrete
✔️ Raised the concrete elevation to eliminate the existing bump and gap
✔️ Created a smoother, more level transition into the garage
✔️ Poured and finished the new concrete
✔️ Repaired and reseeded the grass alongside the work area after it was disturbed during excavation

The finished result gives this garage entrance a much cleaner and more consistent transition, while addressing the original elevation problem.

💧 And the drainage mattered, too. When you're correcting an area around a driveway or garage, simply pouring new concrete isn't always enough. Proper drainage and the underlying preparation are important parts of making sure water has somewhere appropriate to go and the new surface has a properly prepared base.

This project required careful hand excavation and attention to elevation because the entire objective was to get that concrete to the correct height so the garage door could meet the surface properly.

This project was all about bringing this client's home into a more modern, functional, and finished look!

We were brought in to install multiple new light fixtures throughout the home, including:

✨ Recessed lighting
✨ New vanity lighting
✨ Chandeliers
✨ Additional decorative and functional lighting
✨ Removal of outdated fluorescent T8 fixtures
✨ Conversion from fluorescent lighting to recessed lighting

One of the biggest transformations was taking the old fluorescent T8 fixtures out and replacing them with recessed lighting. This creates a much cleaner appearance while allowing the homeowner to have more evenly distributed illumination throughout the space.

🌱🚜 ANOTHER PROPERTY TRANSFORMATION — GRADING & RESEEDING COMPLETE! 🚜🌱

This property needed more than just a little grass seed ... It needed the proper foundation for healthy grass and better drainage.

We came in and completely reworked the area with a 2-man crew, hauling and distributing approximately 16 cubic yards of dirt and completing the entire project in just 6 hours! 💪🏼

🔨 WHAT WE DID:

✅ Removed and redistributed soil where needed
✅ Properly graded the property to improve drainage
✅ Built up and leveled low areas
✅ Created a more consistent slope away from the structure
✅ Prepared the soil for new grass growth
✅ Reseeded the area
✅ Finished the surface to promote better seed-to-soil contact

Spring can also work, but competition from weeds and summer heat can make establishment more challenging.

Our pricing is not based solely on the amount of time we spend physically working at your property. It reflects the labor, expertise, preparation, operating expenses, liability, and accountability that come with hiring an established business.

We understand that customers want competitive pricing, and we respect everyone's budget. However, we are not the company for someone whose sole objective is to find the lowest possible price. With everything we have to pay out in expenses...we wouldn't make money to survive.

There will always be individuals willing to perform work for less when they don't have the same business expenses, insurance, or responsibilities. That's a choice every customer has the right to make, if you choose to hire those individuals.
