From dark and dated to bright and airy!
This kitchen got a fresh new look with beautifully refinished white cabinetry, quartz countertops, a soft gray subway tile backsplash, and updated wall colors. We also straightened out the previously angled peninsula to open up the walkway and improve the flow through the kitchen.

A closer look at this custom wet bar!

Complete with a beverage refrigerator, ice maker, and prep sink, this bar has all the essentials for mixing up a cocktail or grabbing a cold drink. Full-height cabinetry offers plenty of concealed storage, and floating wood shelves provide the perfect spot to display glassware and favorite pieces. Located just off the dining area, it’s a great addition for both everyday use and entertaining.

The soft green cabinetry, natural wood accents, and ch*****ne bronze hardware give the bar its own distinct style while complementing the adjacent kitchen.

Design Selections:
• Cabinetry: Starmark | Maple, Moon Bay
• Floating Shelves: Starmark | Alder, Oregano Stain
• Countertops: Cambria | Everleigh
• Hardware: Signature Hardware | Rubeus, Ch*****ne Bronze

This primary bathroom got a serious upgrade.
The original shower was enclosed by walls with a lowered ceiling, making it feel small and dark. Opening it up made room for a full walk-in tile shower with a built-in bench, custom niche, frameless glass enclosure, and Grohe shower system.
And the upgrades didn’t stop there - a freestanding soaking tub with chromatherapy and hydromassage, custom floating walnut vanities and wall paneling, quartz countertops, and heated floors throughout (including on the shower bench!) take this bathroom to another level.

What’s that little button on the counter?

It’s an air switch for the garbage disposal! Installed right near the sink, it keeps the disposal control within easy reach without adding another switch to the backsplash — or another switch to accidentally flip when you meant to turn on the lights.

It's especially handy for island sinks, keeping the switch on the countertop instead of tucked away inside the cabinet.

They’re available in a variety of finishes to coordinate with your faucet and other fixtures, making them a small but practical detail we love including in kitchen remodels.

More natural light without sacrificing privacy.

Transom windows are a great way to bring additional daylight into a room while keeping the windows higher on the wall for privacy. Their placement also leaves more usable wall space below for furniture — like this bed tucked perfectly underneath.

A whole new look — and layout — for this main floor.
Opening up the existing floor plan gave us room for a spacious kitchen, oversized island and a wet bar just off the dining area, creating a much better connection between the spaces.
Warm wood and soft white cabinetry keep the kitchen feeling light and inviting. The muted green wet bar adds a splash of color and creates its own distinct space, while the matching countertop, door style and hardware tie it back to the kitchen.

You don’t need a huge space to add a wet bar. ☕️🍸
Even a small nook can become a convenient spot for drinks, entertaining, and extra storage—all while adding another design moment to the room.

A fresh update for the homeowner’s son’s bathroom.
Cool grays, warm wood and black accents bring a slightly masculine feel while still keeping with the style of the home. We improved the shower by removing the bulkhead, taking the tile to the ceiling and adding frameless Euro glass for a cleaner, more open feel.

Laundry may never be anyone’s favorite chore, but the room you do it in can certainly make it better.

This basement laundry room had plenty of space, but awkward dead corners and storage that wasn’t working for the homeowners left room for improvement.

We reworked the layout and designed custom cabinetry to maximize storage, create plenty of counter space, and incorporate a dedicated laundry basket and clothes hanging area. Dark wood cabinets, green-blue walls, quartz countertops, and herringbone tile flooring bring a more polished, elevated feel to this hardworking space.

Because if you have to do laundry, you might as well have a room you enjoy spending time in.

Cabinet hardware may be one of the final design selections, but it has a lasting impact.

Often referred to as the jewelry of a room, the right hardware adds personality while complementing the cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and other finishing touches throughout the space. From the finish to the profile and scale, every detail contributes to the overall look and feel. Whether you gravitate toward warm ch*****ne bronze, timeless brushed nickel, bold matte black, or another finish entirely, there’s no shortage of ways to personalize a design.

Swipe through a few of our favorite hardware selections from recent Thompson Remodeling projects.
