Another year with some pretty awesome people! 🛠️🙌

Today we’re celebrating Alexis, Hunter & Chris, and another year of having them as part of our team.

Alexis — you’ve really come into your own this past year. From starting with drywall experience to becoming a full-blown carpenter with a talent for finish work, it’s been amazing to watch your growth. We’re so thankful for everything you bring to the team and for always being someone we can count on.

Hunter — you’ve stepped up in such a big way with our maintenance crew, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Our team, clients, and residents have nothing but great things to say about you. Your reliability, no-nonsense attitude, and ability to just get it done mean so much to us.

Chris — thank you for always bringing your can-do attitude and positivity to the job (even if we know heights aren’t exactly your thing 😂). It’s been so awesome watching you take on a new profession, grow, and tackle each day with such a great attitude.

We’re truly thankful for each of you and everything you bring to our team. The work you do, the way you show up, and the people you are make a difference every day. We’re lucky to have you, and we’re excited to see what another year brings. 💚

We’re getting the shop just right and going into trim, doors + cabinetry! We’re waiting on the rest of the cabinetry to arrive and can’t wait to get it all installed and watch this space come together. 🏡

With the roof framing now complete, we’re moving into the next phase of construction and watching this project continue to take shape.

Behind the Design | Jefferson 🏠

When rehabbing a multifamily property, we always start with one question: Does the existing layout work?

If it does, we like to work with it — updating cabinetry, appliances, and finishes while making changes where they genuinely improve the flow and function of the space.

At Jefferson, the layout was designed with both function and the owner’s investment in mind. Rather than changing things just to change them, every decision was made with a purpose.

Because good design isn’t just about how a space looks — it’s about making it work beautifully, too. 🔨

The story behind the finishes ✨

It was a process of bringing the owners’ vision and the designer’s eye together.

Originally, the owners were leaning toward a more classic black-and-white look for the exterior. But as we got closer to painting, they realized they wanted something warmer. So we went back to the colors they were both drawn to, compared them side by side, and ultimately landed on Universal Khaki.

That same process carried into the interior. That same process carried into the interior. They had a general idea of what they wanted, but as it came time to make the selections, they explored different options and started seeing how everything worked together — from the flooring and cabinetry to the paint and finishes.

Instead of choosing each detail on its own, the design was built piece by piece, coming back to what the owners loved and seeing how it all felt together before making the final decisions.

The result is a home that feels intentional, warm, and completely their own. 🏡✨

Every good operation has jobs that keep the world turning—hidden from the limelight, but just as important as the sexiest jobs.

For us, that’s our Maintenance & Groundskeeping Division.🔧🌱

Andy, Hunter, and Cliff.

There’s no question that 1) maintenance and groundskeeping aren’t glamorous, and 2) they’re incredibly important to us and everyone we help. You guys keep the gears turning that many folks wouldn’t want to turn, and through that, you help so many people who otherwise may not get the service they deserve.

It’s also pretty cool to see this become a budding division of our operation—from starting with one part-time employee to now having 3+ full-time employees. We’re pretty proud of that, too. 👏🏼

Thank you to these three, and to the fill-in assistance when we get extra busy (Andrew, that’s you! 😉). It takes a village, and that’s exactly what we’ve got.
