The Rural Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago is a Special Purpose State Enterprise that exclusively serves rural areas of Trinidad by providing and upgrading physical infrastructure and social facilities. In 2005, the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago established Rural Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago Company Limited, one of several new State Enterprises called Special Purposes State Enterprises, to expedite the development of infrastructure and community facilities in the the rural areas of Trinidad and Tobago . Its Office is located at the Caroni Limited Central Office , Factory Road, Brechin Castle, Couva.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026

This October, the Rural Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago stands in solidarity with those affected by breast cancer and joins the national effort to promote awareness, education, early detection, and support.

Breast cancer affects individuals, families, and communities across our nation. By encouraging regular screenings, sharing accurate information, and supporting survivors, we can help save lives and build healthier communities.

We commend the efforts of all advocates and organizations working to raise awareness and provide support throughout this important month.

Ecclesville, Mayaro: Community Action in Progress

The Rural Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (RDC) ⚒️ continues to deliver on its commitment to improving communities through timely, practical, and targeted interventions. 👍

Following a site visit by the Honourable MP Khadijah Ameen for St.Augustine Minister of Rural Development and Local Government 👢 and the Honourable Nicholas Morris MP Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, residents of Ecclesville, Mayaro had the opportunity to raise concerns affecting their community. The visit allowed the Minister to engage directly with residents, assess the challenges firsthand, and identify the improvements needed to enhance accessibility, safety, and overall community well-being. ❤️
Acting on these concerns, the RDC mobilized its resources and commenced improvement works within the area. Today, visible progress is taking shape on the ground as works continue to address key infrastructure challenges and provide meaningful benefits to residents. 🛣️

These interventions form part of a broader commitment to responsive leadership and community-centered development. For the people of Ecclesville, this project is about more than infrastructure improvements. It is about creating safer surroundings, improving access, and ensuring that residents see real action resulting from the concerns they have raised. 😍
From listening to communities to delivering solutions on the ground, the focus remains clear: turning concerns into action and improving lives, one community at a time. 🙌

On 11th September 2026, the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, together with the Rural Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago, issued cheques to persons affected by the development of the New Youth Facility in La Horquetta/Talparo, providing compensation for lands and crops.

Through the efforts of MP Khadijah Ameen for St.Augustine and the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, MP Phillip Watts affected persons were able to receive the compensation due to them.

Works on the Ecclesville Retaining Wall are part of the RDC's commitment to strengthening infrastructure, improving road safety and building more resilient communities.
