Running a shop, café or small factory in Singapore? The government will co-fund up to 70% of your next aircon.

It's called the Energy Efficiency Grant, and most business owners we meet have never heard of it. Up to 70% of the equipment cost for SMEs, capped at S$30,000.

Three sectors qualify:
🛍️ Retail — SSIC 47
🍽️ Food Services — SSIC 56 or 68104, with a valid SFA license
🏭 Manufacturing — SSIC 10 to 32

Two things catch people out:

→ Approval takes up to 10 weeks.
→ You cannot buy the unit before approval. Buy first and you lose the claim entirely.

So this isn't something to do when your aircon dies. It's something to do now, so the approval is already waiting when it does. Same if you've just signed a lease — get it moving before renovation starts.

Grant runs until 31 March 2028.
