Your renovation works may take around 6 to 10 weeks.

Your full key-to-move-in calendar also needs time for defect checks, HDB rectification, design, permits, touch-ups, cleaning and furniture deliveries.

For a medium-to-full BTO renovation, planning around 14 to 18 weeks from key collection to move-in gives you a more useful working timeline.

You may shorten the wait by starting your design before key collection, confirming materials early and replying quickly when your contractor needs a site decision.

And please keep some buffer before ending your rental lease. Paying for movers twice because the house isn’t ready is a very painful plot twist 😭
