Volvo Penta D13 engines are powering new search and rescue vessels for Coastal Safety in Türkiye, delivering the performance and reliability needed for critical operations.

Developed by R2 Design and Ares Shipyard, the vessels feature a self-righting design that places high demands on engine room space and weight distribution. The compact D13 engines are well suited to these requirements, while integrated power take-off (PTO) functionality enables onboard firefighting operations.

With an expected 1,500–2,000 operating hours annually, dependable performance and service support are essential. Backed by Volvo Penta's established dealer and service network in Türkiye, these vessels benefit from long-term support to help keep them ready when it matters most.
