Two months paid internship opportunity at D’n’D Salon
Title: Cashier Intern (Reports to the Manager)
D’n’D Salon is seeking a cashier intern to work with other team members to ensure the smooth running of our daily activities while also playing a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives. A commitment of 2 months is desired.
Duties and responsibilities:
Answer customers' questions, resolve their complaints, guide them, provide relevant information, and forward unresolved issues to the manager;
Reply to telephone, sms or WhatsApp messages;
Handle cash or MoMo transactions with customers;
Collect payments and issue change, receipts, and tickets while ensuring pricing is correct;
Check materials and supplies and report when stock is low;
Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area;
Provide general support to other staff members by answering their questions and forward their requests to the manager;
Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction;
Count the contents of the register drawer and record the daily transactions into the transactions management system at the end of each shift;
Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner;
Preferred Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma, preferably in accounting or IT-related fields. Fresh graduates or university students can also apply;
Computer skills and experience in using smart devices;
Some familiarity with accounting systems is an added advantage;
Fluent in English, French and Kinyarwanda (Swahili is an added advantage);
Self-motivated, learns quickly, and possesses a high level of personal integrity;
Should be living in Kigali, not far from Remera.
Compensation: The intern will receive a monthly allowance.
P.S. Once completed the internship with excellent performance, the intern stands a chance of transitioning to a full time role.
