Amenajarea prinde formă din materiale și texturi — un cadru în care oaspeții devin personaje, iar scenele culinare ale RIYO se petrec în jurul lor.

Intri ca într-un film.

Dincolo de prag, primul spațiu te așază direct în scenă — un cadru regizat în care povestea e peste tot: pe pereți, pe tavan, pe pardoseală. Cireșul reinterpretat, tâmplăria tradițională japoneză a porților Torii, suprafețe de onyx luminate până par înflăcărate.

Apoi treci în al doilea episod. Alt spațiu, alți protagoniști: crapii koi suspendați, peretele japonez shoji, lumina caldă filtrată prin panourile kumiko, care aduce căldură și aici.

Totul ține de materiale și texturi care lucrează cu simțurile — ce vezi, ce atingi, până și ce miroși. Restaurantul nu se privește doar; se parcurge.

It’s like stepping into a movie.

Beyond the threshold, the first space places you right in the middle of the scene—a staged setting where the story is everywhere: on the walls, on the ceiling, on the floor. A reinterpreted cherry tree, traditional Japanese Torii gatework, onyx surfaces illuminated to the point of seeming to glow.

Then you move on to the second scene. A different space, different protagonists: suspended koi carp, Japanese shoji screens, warm light filtered through kumiko panels, bringing warmth here as well.

It’s all about materials and textures that engage the senses—what you see, what you touch, and even what you smell. The restaurant isn’t just something to look at; it’s an experience to be explored.

Uneori, detaliile sunt mai importante decât imaginea de ansamblu.

Dincolo de gesturile mari — tavanul de bețe roz, crapii koi — RIYO trăiește în lucrurile mici: un koi împletit manual, văzut de aproape; un perete de piatră cu o textură ca tăiată cu cuțitul, scoasă în relief de lumina razantă; caligrafia de pe pereți și pardoseală; peretele shoji de hârtie, ca o pictură; până și zona de toaletă, ținută în aceeași limbă vizuală, totuși altfel.

Aceeași atmosferă, din cel mai amplu cadru până în cel mai mic colț.

Sometimes the details matter more than the big picture.

Beyond the large gestures — the pink-stick ceiling, the koi — RIYO lives in the small things: a hand-woven koi seen up close; a stone wall with a texture like knife cuts, raked into relief by grazing light; calligraphy on the walls and the floor; the shoji paper wall, like a painting; even the washroom, held in the same visual language, yet different.

The same atmosphere, from the widest frame to the smallest corner.

From bare shell to RIYO.

A historic volume in Timișoara’s old town, stripped back to raw brick and rebuilt as the third RIYO Wok & Sushi extension — a ceiling of ~4,000 pink sticks, torii gates in backlit onyx, two koi suspended above the tables.

Cărămidă vopsită în negru, lumină filtrată prin onyx, un tavan de bețe roz suspendat ca o coroană de cireș.

A treia extindere RIYO ocupă o clădire din centrul istoric al Timișoarei și își asumă rolul celui mai recent concept al brandului — nu o reluare, ci o etapă nouă. Peste structura brută a volumului vechi se așază referințe japoneze reinterpretate: porți torii din onyx retroiluminat, doi crapi koi de peste trei metri care plutesc deasupra meselor, panouri kumiko care filtrează lumina.

Materialul rămâne real, lumina caldă, gestul — măsurat.
