Muslim Bagh Ophiolite Belt | Surface Indication of Chromite Mineralization

مسلم باغ کے اوفیولائٹ بیلٹ میں سرفیس پر موسم کے اثرات سے تبدیل شدہ (weathered) الٹرامافک چٹان پر سیاہ رنگ کے باریک منتشر ذرات نمایاں نظر آ رہے ہیں۔ ایسے disseminated black grains اکثر کرومائیٹ منرلائزیشن کی ابتدائی فیلڈ نشانی سمجھے جاتے ہیں، خاص طور پر جب یہ سرپینٹینائزڈ ڈونائٹ یا متعلقہ الٹرامافک میزبان چٹانوں میں پائے جائیں۔

فیلڈ جیولوجی میں اس قسم کی سرفیس آبزرویشن ایک اہم ابتدائی اشارہ ہوتی ہے، جس کے بعد تفصیلی Geological Mapping، Rock Sampling، Petrographic Examination، Geochemical Analysis اور ضرورت کے مطابق مزید ایکسپلوریشن کی جاتی ہے تاکہ معدنی موجودگی اور اس کے معاشی امکانات کی تصدیق ہو سکے۔

In this field video, I explore a potential Fluorite mineralization Somewhere in Balochistan. I explain the geological setting, including faults, fractures, host rocks, and the hydrothermal mineralization process responsible for Fluorite deposition. The aim is to share practical field knowledge with students, geologists, and anyone interested in mineral exploration.

Every rock has a story, and quartz is one of the best places to start. It doesn’t always contain antimony, but it can point you in the right direction. In today’s field visit, I’m taking a closer look at a milky quartz vein and explaining why geologists never ignore it during mineral exploration.
