Casa S. — Living Room
Cavite, Philippines | Three-Storey Residential Home

A living room composed around scale, warmth, and restraint.

The double-height volume is the defining architectural gesture. Timber wall panelling runs the full height of the space, drawing the eye upward and reinforcing its proportions. A sculptural chandelier occupies the void above — a focal point that adds presence without competing with the architecture beneath it.

The entertainment wall is treated as an architectural element rather than a fixture: wiring concealed within an extruded laminate panel, a recessed niche sized for horizontal soundbars and displays, and detailing that keeps the technology visually quiet within the millwork.

Floor-to-ceiling drapery softens the incoming light and extends the room’s verticality, set against tactile upholstery, natural stone surfaces, and furnishings in layered warm neutrals.

The result is a space that reads as residential, deliberate, and fully resolved — architecture, lighting, and furniture working as a single system.

Not a full renovation — a recalibration.

For this Grand Hyatt Hotel & Residences bedroom, the brief was not to strip the space down and start over. It was to retain what already worked and refine what didn’t.

The original Hyatt cabinetry was retained and reintegrated into a more considered composition rather than replaced. TThe existing gypsum wall was given a concrete-look finish and sealed to create the visual depth and tactile character of concrete—without introducing actual concrete into the space.

A custom sconce was introduced at the headboard to provide proper bedside reading light. The vanity lighting was integrated into the mirror, reducing visual clutter. The television was placed on a retractable mount — allowing it to pull forward to a comfortable viewing position from the bed and sit flush to the wall when not in use.

None of these are decorative choices.

Each one solves a specific problem: function, sightlines, maintenance, circulation, and comfort.

That is the difference between decorating a room and architecting one.

A bedroom designed with the warmth of residential living and the precision of hospitality.

The palette remains quiet — warm neutrals, a concrete-finish wall, and natural textures — allowing the architecture, rather than the décor, to carry the room.

Cove lighting, a custom bed-reading sconce, and an integrated vanity were resolved as one cohesive composition, with each detail considered around the rituals of everyday living: reading in bed, dressing, and winding down.

The result is calm, refined and unmistakably residential, while maintaining the level of precision expected of a branded hospitality residence.

Set within a private resort in the Philippines, this VIP Room was conceived as a refined hospitality environment balancing exclusivity, functionality, and a strong sense of place.

Designed for private gatherings, executive meetings, and intimate dining, the space brings together warm timber detailing, polished Verde Guatemala marble, textured acoustic surfaces, and bespoke handcrafted local wood artwork.

A mother-of-pearl ceiling introduces a subtle luminosity overhead, while integrated lighting creates warmth and depth throughout the room. The design also incorporates technology discreetly, with a motorized ceiling-mounted projection screen that allows the space to transition seamlessly between a fully equipped meeting environment and an elegant private setting.

Natural greenery, softly upholstered seating, layered textures, and warm metallic accents complete an interior designed to feel sophisticated yet relaxed.

Rather than approaching the VIP Room as a conventional function space, the design positions it as an extension of the resort experience—private, immersive, and grounded in the character of its setting.

Our approach was to transform the existing amenity areas at Antel Platinum into refined, flexible environments designed around recreation, connection, and contemporary hospitality.

The existing spaces were reimagined through a warmer material palette, timber detailing, layered architectural lighting, and carefully considered furniture. The design creates a cohesive environment that can transition effortlessly between recreation, meetings, private gatherings, and social events.

Rather than treating the amenities as simply functional shared spaces, the design introduces a hospitality-led approach—creating environments that feel elevated, comfortable, and intentional while remaining practical for everyday use.

Warm wood tones, textured finishes, tailored furnishings, and controlled lighting establish a sense of quiet luxury, giving the amenity areas a stronger identity and a more memorable experience for residents and guests.
