Mechanic (UG Equipment – Mobile)
Department: Asset Maintenance - Mobile Underground
Reports to: Supervisor – Mobile Maintenance
What you’ll do:
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on underground vehicles and equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults
• Dismantle, assemble, and test machines and parts following proper procedures
• Inspect and test repaired equipment to make sure it meets specifications
• Carry out routine maintenance on time to keep equipment available
• Do routine servicing and basic repairs on light vehicles
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Help identify risks and update risk registers
• Record repairs, inspections, and maintenance reports
• Follow safety rules and keep the workplace clean and organized
What we’re looking for:
• Trade studies in mechanical
• NCII in Mechanic
• Professional driver’s license
• At least 5 years of experience in mining, cement, power, or other heavy industries
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and physical stamina
Electrician – Auto (UG Equipment – Mobile)
Department: Asset Maintenance – Mobile Underground
Reports to: Supervisor – Mobile Maintenance
What you’ll do:
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on underground mobile equipment
• Do routine electrical inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance (motors, transformers, switchgear)
• Find and fix electrical faults quickly to reduce downtime
• Work with engineers and operations teams to keep equipment reliable
• Assess the electrical materials and tools needed for each job
• Apply safe work practices for all electrical tasks
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Help identify risks and update risk registers
• Keep accurate timesheets, repair logs, and inspection records
• Keep the workplace clean, tidy, and tools accounted for
What we’re looking for:
• Trade studies in mechanical
• NCII in EIM
• Professional driver’s license
• At least 2 years of experience as an electrician in mining, cement, power, or other heavy industries
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and physical stamina
