Managing heavy rainfall does not always require bigger drainage pipes. Landscapes can be thoughtfully designed to work with nature, helping slow, absorb, and manage stormwater where it falls.

Today's features Nature Based Solutions, including rain gardens, bioswales, and permeable landscapes. These approaches help reduce runoff and support more resilient urban environments by allowing water to naturally filter, infiltrate, and move through the landscape.

The best solutions do not always rely on more infrastructure. Sometimes, they begin by giving nature a role in protecting our cities.
