Located in the serene surroundings of Riverside, Calinan, this interior design and visualization project transforms a single-storey residential footprint into a highly efficient, multi-level home through the integration of a clever attic loft. The client’s visualization brief focused exclusively on the core communal and private zones: the seamless living and dining common areas, the highly functional kitchen, and the cozy attic retreat. Designed with a warm contemporary minimalist aesthetic, the project utilizes a high-contrast material palette where rich walnut accent walls provide structural grounding, while light ash cabinetry and neutral textiles ensure the tight footprint feels remarkably open and airy.
On the ground floor, the open-concept living and dining areas are anchored by a custom entertainment feature wall and illuminated by a modern multi-pendant glass chandelier hanging from a crisp tray ceiling. An architectural, open-riser timber and steel staircase serves as a functional focal point, allowing natural light to flow freely into the executive kitchen, which features handleless light-wood upper cabinets, marble-veined countertops, and a mosaic tile backsplash. Ascending the stairs leads to the private attic suite, a serene sleeping sanctuary that smartly embraces the sloped roofline with low-profile platform beds and custom under-eave modular storage, perfectly completing this study in spatial efficiency.
