🌱 Our August newsletter is out — and if you've been putting your lawn off until spring, this one's worth a read.

Spring is closer than you think, and the work you do right now will determine how your lawn performs when the warmer weather arrives. This month we're talking soil testing, lawn renovations, getting on top of Poa before spring growth kicks in, and the signs that your lawn is ready for its first feed of the season.

We're also really excited to announce that we'll be at the Southland Home Show on the 15th and 16th of August at Stadium Southland — free entry! Come and find us at our display and have a chat about your lawn or landscaping plans. We'd love to see you there.

🎂 This month GR Lawns & Landscapes turns 4 — and we wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

What started as a greenkeeper wanting to bring professional turf care to everyday homeowners has turned into something we are really excited about. We've completed some large landscaping projects this month despite the cold and soggy conditions, and we're incredibly proud of what the team has delivered.

Our July newsletter is out now and it's a good one. This month we're talking about grass grub and porina — two of the most damaging winter lawn pests in Southland, and the good news is both can be knocked out in a single treatment. We're also covering moss, what we're actively doing on properties right now through winter, why winter is actually the best time to diagnose drainage problems, and why now is the time to lock in your spring renovation slot before they're gone.

Before, during, and after — rogue grass treatment doing its thing 💪

The white patches you can see are the unwanted grasses dying off after treatment. Looks a bit rough in the moment, but fast forward a month and this lawn is bouncing back brilliantly.

A big shoutout to the robot mower keeping up the regular cuts too — it makes a real difference to how quickly the lawn recovers 🤖🌱
