ON DISPLAY | Waiheke

A little different from the usual for the Panelab crew and being over on Waiheke added another layer to the challenge.

With the travel involved, we had to measure larger areas at a time to make each install worthwhile. And when you’re working on an island, forgetting something as simple as a box of powdercoated screws isn’t exactly a quick trip back to the factory. 😅

The panel system itself was completely different to anything we’d tackled before. Each join was connected using soakers beneath the panels, meaning no visible silicone, while internal corners required custom welded soakers, all powdercoated to suit.

A lot of the layouts and finer details were worked through as the project progressed, plenty of problem solving from the team to make it all come together.

Different system. Different location. Another good challenge out of the lab. 🧪

Shoutout to Ant Man ( Anthony Cole ) who was the PM for this one!
