The cover photo is from before I created the woodland. This reel was taken after I completed the woodland paths. A Himalayan birch is still to be planted and more ground cover woodland plants to be dotted here and there in successional planting.
I will update viewers in Spring and summer to see how the woodland evolves.

Propagating Attar of roses Geranuim.
I normally use thicker stems and gritty compost, but had run out, so I used what was available, and as the plant was damaged during the wind last night, I guess beggars can’t be choosers😂
I cut just below a leaf node, as this is where most of the plants hormone, Auxin is concentrated, and is more likely to grow roots from.
I tend to damage the stem slightly, to expose the cambium layer which helps it to form roots.
I trim just enough leaves off, to not stress the cutting, and place around the edges of the pot as this is less likely to dry out. Here it retains warmth, and when the roots hit the hard surface they stop growing horizontally and then branch out and go down.
Water and leave in a warm place like a greenhouse or inside with a plastic bag over to keep in the warmth and moisture.
