This Marchwiel home was built in the early 2000s and, like many homes from that era, its original colour scheme was beginning to feel a little dated.

Before painting, our team carried out exterior plaster repairs to address cracking and get the surface back into top condition.

The transformation was completed with Double Black White on the main plaster and Ebony on the roof and aluminium window surrounds. The lighter plaster finish freshens the home considerably, while the darker roof and joinery add contrast and give the exterior a much more modern feel.

It's always impressive to see how the right preparation and colour selection can completely change the look of a home.

Looking back at this recently completed commercial fit-out in Washdyke, it's a great example of how the finishing stages of a project can benefit from the right trades working together.

We completed the gib stopping, painting, and flooring throughout the tenancy, and projects like this highlight the value of delivering those trades as one coordinated package. As handover approaches, timing becomes critical, with each stage relying on the one before it. Having our teams working together helped streamline communication, simplify scheduling, and maintain a consistent standard across the finished space, giving the project team one less thing to manage during a busy stage of the build.

Quick transformation for the team yesterday afternoon at Café at The Complex! 🍃

Our mates at the café wanted to freshen up the space, so the team got stuck into creating a new feature wall behind the counter in Resene Woodland and what a difference it makes to the whole look and feel of the café.

The earthy green tone has completely changed the feel of the space, adding warmth and depth while working in nicely with the plants, stonework and overall fit-out. It’s one of those simple changes that instantly lifts the atmosphere without needing a full overhaul.

Awesome effort from the teamgetting this one turned around quickly and looking sharp for the café crew!

Out in Albury, the team are in the middle of a pretty unique exterior transformation, combining a couple of products that work really well together to completely change the feel of the home.

Classic Stone Southern Ledgestone is going on through the lower half of the exterior, with StoCast Wood being installed above, a lightweight timber-look cladding system with a realistic wood grain finish that’ll later be stained in the client’s chosen colour.

We’ve used Classic Stone across plenty of projects over the years, but pairing it with the StoCast Wood is something a bit different. It’ll be cool to see how well the two materials complement each other once everything is finished, especially once the stain goes on and gives the StoCast that rich depth and authentic timber look.

Already shaping up to be a pretty impressive transformation and a great example of the different options available when it comes to giving an older brick home a new lease on life.

Out in Claremont, we’ve just wrapped up a refresh on this home’s exterior timber, with the team restaining both the cedar cladding and deck.

The change in colour has completely shifted the feel of the home. Moving away from a richer, warmer tone, the owners have opted for Resene Woodsman 'Bushtrack' a deeper, darker finish that brings a strong, modern edge to the exterior while still letting the grain of the cedar show through.

It works especially well against the clean architectural lines and darker joinery, giving the whole entry a more refined, contemporary look.

It’s a good reminder that even with natural timber, the stain colour you choose can completely change the look and feel of a home. Going darker can create contrast, sharpen the overall finish, and bring a more modern edge without needing to replace the cladding itself.
