You know the ones… everything mostly works, so it’s easy to leave it alone.

But slow drains, strange smells, gurgling toilets and little leaks can all be signs that something needs attention.

It doesn’t mean you need to panic or call the plumber over every little noise. But if something keeps happening, it’s worth finding out why rather than hoping it sorts itself out.

Honestly… a fair bit!

New builds, renovations, drainage, sewage systems, hot water, gas fitting, blocked drains, leaks and plenty of jobs in between.

Basically, a lot more than unblocking toilets. 😉

So, let’s clear a few things up..

🚽 “Flushable wipes are flushable.”
Despite what the packet says, they’re not exactly best mates with your drains. They don’t break down like toilet paper and can contribute to blockages. Your toilet really only wants toilet paper and, well… toilet stuff.

💧 “A dripping tap is no big deal.”
It might only be a drip, but that drip adds up. More importantly, it can be a sign that something needs attention. Your tap shouldn’t be auditioning for a role in a leaky bucket.

🔥 “Hot water will fix a blocked drain.”
It might help with some minor build-up, but it’s not a magic wand. If you’ve got a proper blockage, pouring the kettle down it probably isn’t going to save the day.

🗑️ “Your waste disposal can handle anything.”
Nope. It’s not a tiny food-processing plant. Grease, fats, fibrous foods and plenty of other scraps can cause problems further down the line.

Basically, if your plumbing is trying to tell you something… it’s usually worth listening.
