Check this bad boy out its the new fuel injected Husqvarna 564xp and its a weapon. I run it in on the oak tree in the back ground after climbing it taking the top out so we had space to drop the bottom half alongside the rock wall the saw is sitting on. Iv only had it a week or so so i havnt worked it to hard yet but im looking forward to getting it out on the hills behind naseby for the day dropping pines. It'll be a good excuse to get ahead on next year's fire wood

It's that time of year
The hedge trimmers are flat out at the moment im about to make a start on some of the bigger buxus hedge lines, and I am very excited to see it all once they get a good going

Its always a good day at the clachanburn gardens .especially when getting around in a little john Deere tractor . Hopefully, Husqvarna will bring one out one day, and I might be able to get my butt in one . That's what dreams are made of

Check out these two little italian Cyprusses.
We took a good amount off the one to the right to bring them to the same height. I was quite surprised how deep the greenery goes into the tree.
There's nothing worse than leaving a conifer looking woody.

This is another one of my nice old sturdy tools.
It's my weldless number 2 C.T.SHELTON&CO spade,
New zealand made in the early 1900s. It doesn't get out much because of how heavy it is, but when there's a big root to cut or plant to dig out, it is just perfect

This is my edger, it would have to be my favorite tool. There's nothing better than a well done live edge.
I thought I was pretty good with a spade, but you can't beat having the right tool for the job. Even better when it was made back in the good old days when they used good solid steel.
You can't beat good old forged tools

I love my old McCulloch
It's a McCulloch pro 10-10 automatic, it's 54 year old and still humming along nicely . Dropping trees in the Māniatoto ain't a bad way to make a living

These are some dahlias from home. It's been a couple of years since they have been this good. We're about to put a bit of pot ash around them to keep everything flowering. Hopefully, it will get them hummin!
