On 14 July 2025, we started Traffic Flow Kapiti Limited with a lot of determination, plenty of hard work and hopes for what we could build as a whānau. Now, one year and two months later, we’re taking a moment to celebrate—and thank the people who have helped us get here! ❤️🙌

From early starts to the last cone packed away, there’s been plenty of mahi along the way. Every booking, every recommendation and every client who has given us a chance has helped our family-owned business keep moving forward. 🚧🚛

Plimmuir Street Traffic Management in Action

Our traffic crew has been on-site at Plimmuir Street in Lower Hutt, working alongside Pipework Solutions to support essential pipework upgrades.

With excavation works and heavy vehicles operating throughout the area, the team implemented temporary traffic management measures to keep road users and workers safe. This included a temporary 30km/h speed limit, lane control, and clear signage to maintain traffic flow with minimal disruption.

Strong coordination between crews has been key to keeping the site running smoothly while vital infrastructure work is carried out.

We thank local residents and road users for their patience while these important upgrades are completed.

🚧 Cambridge Terrace Update – Wellington 🚧
Kapiti Traffic Flow and Ives Plumbing are on-site today carrying out essential infrastructure work along Cambridge Terrace.

Expect a lane closure, lots of cones, and a clear temporary layout guiding traffic safely past the work zone. Pedestrian access is maintained, and vehicles are being directed through a single lane to keep everyone moving smoothly.

Big thanks to the crews keeping the area safe while important underground plumbing work is completed. 👷‍♂️🦺

Our crew is out on Hardy Street, Waterloo, Lower Hutt, keeping the site safe and protected while the teams from Pipework Solutions and Ives Plumbing work on installing water connections, manholes, and more essential infrastructure.

With plenty of cones, barriers, and solid planning, our Traffic Management crew is ensuring everyone stays safe — workers, pedestrians, and drivers alike.

Keeping the Community Moving – Raiha Street, Porirua

Traffic Flow has been working alongside PCL Contracting Ltd on Raiha Street in Porirua, providing safe and efficient traffic management while construction takes place.

Our team has set up clear pedestrian walkways, traffic cones, and barriers to guide both foot and vehicle traffic around the work zone. Safety is always our top priority – not just for the workers on site, but for the public who pass through the area each day.

We’d like to remind everyone that there is a 30km/h speed restriction in place while works are ongoing. Please take extra care when driving through and respect the limits – slowing down makes a big difference in keeping workers and the community safe.

With projects like this, our goal is to minimise disruption, keep everyone moving smoothly, and ensure that construction can progress without delays. A well-managed traffic plan doesn’t just protect people – it helps the whole job run safer and smarter.

At Traffic Flow Kapiti, safety is at the heart of everything we do. If you’ve been in town recently, you may have noticed our crews managing road closures, setting out cones, and ensuring traffic is safely redirected while important works are carried out.

While a “Road Closed” sign can sometimes feel like an inconvenience, these measures are essential to protecting not only the workers on site, but also the motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians moving through the area.

Behind the Scenes
Our traffic management teams work hard to design and implement traffic control plans that keep everyone safe. From placing cones and barriers, to setting up clear signage, to managing detours — every detail matters. High-visibility gear, teamwork, and strict safety protocols ensure that both the crew and the public are well protected.

Here you can see a larger operation where heavy machinery is being used. In these situations, precise traffic control is critical. Cones, signage, and clear lane management keep vehicles moving safely around the worksite while allowing the crew to focus on the job at hand.

Today’s Work: Wells Assessments and Cleaning
Today, the crew from Griffiths Drilling are on site carrying out assessments and cleaning of wells. This process includes carefully pulling the wells out with the help of Collins Cranes, a task that requires precise coordination and strong traffic management to keep the area safe.

Here you can see how the cranes are set up, with extended cone layouts ensuring vehicles and pedestrians are guided safely around the site. Operations like this highlight the importance of careful planning, teamwork, and strong safety protocols.
