Day 8 Emergence!

This beet was planted on the 1st of October using our one-pass strip till and precision planting system, already emerging just 8 days later!

Planted straight into moisture, giving the seed a great start to germinating.

Great to see the seedlings pushing through and the crop getting off to a promising start, especially compared to the colder conditions and slower emergence we saw last spring. 🌱

🌱 Is your crop ready for a drier season? 🌱

With many forecasts suggesting a drier spring and summer, every bit of soil moisture will count.

Strip tillage prepares only the seed row, helping to retain moisture while creating the ideal environment for strong root development.

The photos below show the difference we've seen with strip tillage.

✅ Stronger, deeper root systems
✅ Better access to moisture and nutrients
✅ Less soil disturbance
✅ Lower fuel use than full cultivation
✅ Precision fertiliser placement where the crop needs it most

When conditions turn dry, crops with strong root systems are often better placed to access moisture deeper in the soil.

If you're planning fodder beet or maize this season, now is the time to make smart decisions.

Strong roots. Better efficiency. Better returns.

Strip-till swedes have been establishing extremely well.

This crop drilled on 30th November with 175 kg/ha DAP.

The first four images were taken on 30th December, with the latest photos from today and I think it’s clear to say this crop looks like it has strong yield potential.

What has really stood out is how efficient we can be with our seed rate. This field was drilled at a 60% reduced rate than what the clients normal seeding rate per hectare would be without effecting establishment.

With clear scope to reduce the rate further for others of up to 70% less seed sown.

By combining strip tillage and precision drilling, we’re helping you cut input costs, improve plant spacing, and maximise yield per hectare. Fewer seeds, better placement, stronger crops yet simple, measurable gains.
