Happy National Safe Work Month!

At Nuflow, safety is part of how we approach every job.

It means protecting the people carrying out the work, considering the clients and communities around the site and reducing unneccessary impact on the surrounding environment wherever possible.

From planning through to installation, we take care to work responsibly, communicate clearly and choose repair methods that help minimise disruption.

Trusted by engineers, councils, and facility managers nationwide.

Because doing the job well also means doing it safely. 💚

What is sitting above your damaged pipe? 🏡

A driveway? Garden? Building? Commercial floor? Shared strata area?

When damaged pipes run underneath areas you would rather not excavate, trenchless rehabilitation may provide another way to repair the problem from within.

Depending on the pipe and its condition, Nuflow solutions can help reduce the need to disturb:

🔹 Driveways and paved areas
🔹 Gardens and landscaping
🔹 Buildings and internal floors
🔹 Commercial and strata properties
🔹 Stormwater infrastructure

Before assuming everything above the pipe needs to come up, speak with us about the available repair options.

👀 What a difference a reline can make.

A quick before vs after from a recent Nuflow project, showing how damaged pipework can be restored from within using trenchless relining.

A cleaner internal finish, improved flow and less disruption above ground.

Did you know star pickets can cause hidden stormwater damage around new homes?

During landscaping, fencing or driveway works, star pickets are often driven into the ground close to underground stormwater lines.

In some cases, they can pierce the pipe without the damage obvious straight away.

The problem may only become noticeable later, when the pipe starts leaking into the surrounding ground or stormwater drainage begins to behave differently.

Because the damage is underground, it can be difficult to know exactly what has happened without inspecting the pipe internally.

If a stormwater issue appears after recent landscaping or external works, your local Nuflow team can investigate the line and help identify what is happening below the surface.

🔍 The length of the damage can change the entire repair plan.

A single crack or failed joint may only need a targeted repair, while damage extending through a longer section of pipe may call for sectional or full-length relining.

The right approach depends on how much of the pipe is affected and whether the surrounding sections are still in good condition.

Notice recurring blockages, unusual smells or slow drainage? Act early. The longer damage is left, the more complex the repair may become. Speak with your local Nuflow team before the problem spreads.

Fixing what is visible is not enough if the underlying conditions are ignored.

The right system helps protect the pipe against the demands it will continue to face.

🔧 Project Spotlight | School Road Bus Depot, Rochedale

Following fire damage to underground conduit infrastructure at a busy bus depot, the team at Nuflow Brisbane South, Ipswich & Logan delivered a tailored trenchless rehabilitation solution designed to minimise disruption and avoid major excavation.

The project included:

🔹 10 conduits rehabilitated
🔹 77.7 metres of lining installed
🔹 Work completed within a live operational depot
🔹 A solution developed for the site's heat-damaged conditions
🔹 Careful planning and coordination across every stage

By renewing the conduits from within, the team helped protect critical infrastructure while reducing the impact on daily operations, surrounding assets and the wider site.

A strong example of how the right rehabilitation approach can deliver a practical long-term outcome in a complex working environment.

💡 Large sewer and stormwater pipes can require a rehabilitation system designed for greater dimensions and demanding conditions.

The IMPREG GL16 is a fibre-glass reinforced CIPP liner used for the trenchless rehabilitation of conventional pipes ranging from DN150 to DN1600.

Once positioned inside the damaged pipe, the liner is cured using UV light to create a strong new lining within the existing asset.

IMPREG may be suited to:

🔹 Sewer and stormwater systems
🔹 Trade waste pipelines
🔹 Larger pipe diamaters
🔹 Circular, ovoid, tapered and box-shaped assets
🔹 Projects where reducing excavation and site disruption is important

Its advanced fibreglass design and UV-curing process support efficient installation, a smaller worksite and long-term protection for rehabilitated pipe systems.

Speak with your local Nuflow team about whether IMPREG may suit the project.

🏗️ Some underground assets need a rehabilitation system designed for much greater loads.

Large stormwater pipes, sewer mains, box culverts, manholes and infrastructure beneath roads or rail may need to withstand signficant weight, ground pressure and environmental demands.

Sumoline is Nuflow's heavy-duty structural CIPP system for non-pressurised infrastructure where load-bearing strength is critical.

The system can be specified around project conditions such as:

🔹 Pipe diamater and geometry
🔹 Depth below ground
🔹 Soil and groundwater conditions
🔹 Road, rail or other external loading
🔹 The condition of the existing pipe

This allows the rehabilitation system to be designed around what the asset will continue to face after installation.

💧 Pressure pipes face demands that standard gravity drains do not.

Water mains, rising mains and fire services carry water under sustained internal pressure. They may also experience pressure changes, corrosion, leaks and ongoing operational demands.

Because of this, they require a rehabilitation system designed specifically for pressurised conditions.

Pressureline is Nuflow's structural relining solution for deteriorated pressure pipes. It forms a bonded lining within the existing pipe to help restore structural integrity, pressure performance and hydraulic function.

It may be considered where:

🔹 The pipe requires structural rehabilitation
🔹 Long-term pressure reliability is important
🔹 The asset needs to return to service quickly
🔹 Traditional replacement would create significant disruption

Innovation That Keeps Water Flowing.

Managing a deteriorated water main, rising main or fire service? Speak with your Nuflow about whether Pressureline may be suitable.
