Last year our team plumbed in a laundry that is cleverly hidden away in a cupboard. And while the finished product does look very tidy! the really cool stuff is actually hidden behind the wall - all of the piping, connectors, and real plumbing work! All in all, a very successful install 💯

This week's plumber's spotlight is all about cooking with gas!🔥Did you know that we install and replace gas hobs?

If you're considering installing a new gas hob, there are a few questions to ask before you start:
1. How is your gas currently supplied? Do you have bottles or do you have natural gas being piped in?
2. Is the gas hob you're considering compatible with your gas supply?

And if you're replacing an existing gas hob, you will need to make sure the new one is the same size or larger than your existing hob. You won't be able to downsize here.

But why do taps start leaking? Well, it's usually the sealed cartridge degrading over time. They don't last forever and can become worn down from dirt and grit circulating through your pipes. If you have an older tap you might find the washers have worn down, for similar reasons.

This is generally an easy fix, and the team here at Muir Plumbing can identify the type of washer or cartridge that fits your particular tap, do the installation or repair and have your tap working as good as new in no time!
