It’s a pleasure to work with a client who has such a clear vision of what they want. Resulting in a monochromatic, Art Deco inspired kitchen that blends perfectly into this 1950’s brick & stucco bungalow.

Creating an opening into the living areas has found the perfect balance between modern open plan living and the more traditional separation of spaces.

A highlight for me is the gorgeous Argos Statuario tiles from Tile Warehouse that add a touch of luxurious texture to the backsplash.

Just finished this bathroom refresh. I love the clients choice of colour on the walls (Resene Smoky Green), which works wonderfully with the crisp white fixtures, grey floor tiles and warm timber tones. The rimu vanity top was up-cycled from an old coffee table.

From dilapidated and damp to serene cosy haven!

Designed as a place for this client to retreat; beautiful, warm and oh-so-inviting.

This makeover project started with the repair of the leaky roof and levelling of the old concrete floor. A new timber floor was created which immediately gave the space warmth and timeless sophistication. All original windows you see in the before photos were lovingly restored and the entire space fully insulated. Holmes Renovations, always paying close attention to the details, matched just the right colour of wood varnish and paint colour to connect with the main residence.

It's always a pleasure when you get a client willing to be brave with colour. Soft blush pink tiles teamed with white units and gold hardware has created a space that is not only warm and inviting, but ultra-modern too.

A far cry from the drab old brown/beige kitchen it replaced.

FIVE STAR SANCTUARY

The clients brief was simple. Create a modern space with the clean aesthetics of a hotel bathroom that creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

The solution is a minimalist bathroom clad with large scale taupe tiles, deep freestanding tub, vessel basin and black fixtures with a striking black slate wall.

The inclusion of under tile heating, a wall mounted bidet toilet and back lit led mirror provides all the luxury one would expect from a five star hotel.

Sometimes it’s not just old houses that need renovating.

The ensuite and walk-in robe of this four year old home needed a layout change to accommodate a bath and provide privacy to the toilet.

Because of the concrete slab it worked out more cost effective to reposition the doorway from the bedroom and flip the walk-in robe providing privacy to the toilet and space to add a bath.
