Project Flashback | A smarter approach to pool repairs

This was our second-to-last job before lockdown - a vinyl liner pool that needed some significant repairs to the base.

As part of the work, we installed a new concrete floor along with a new track system for the liner.

The clever part? When the liner eventually needs replacing again, the new system will make the job much simpler, without needing to remove and replace the bullnose pavers.

Sometimes a good pool repair isn’t just about fixing the problem in front of you. It’s about making future maintenance easier too.

Pools are pretty good at giving you clues when something isn’t right.

The water level keeps dropping.

The pump sounds different.

You notice a damp patch.

A crack appears.

The liner starts lifting or changing.

You’re using more chemicals than usual.

Sometimes these things are minor. Sometimes they’re the first sign of a problem that’s much easier to deal with now than later.
