Phase 2 Construction Ltd is looking for a reliable 2nd–3rd Year Carpentry Apprentice to join our Christchurch-based team.

What we do:
* Residential new builds
* Multi-storey apartments
* Commercial projects

What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience is essential
* Currently signed into an apprenticeship (2nd or 3rd year)
* Good physical fitness
* Punctual - can turn up on time every time
* Good basic tool knowledge and own tools
* Can take instruction and work as part of a crew
* Motivated enough to work alone at times
* Site-safe aware and safety focused
* Own transport required

At the bottom of this post is an extensive list of the tools & equipment taken. It’s possible that the odd thing has been missed, but will edit to add more as remembered.

🚨 IMPORTANT 🚨

Last night, Sunday 29th December, our foreman Will’s truck was broken into outside his home in Bishopdale, & all of his power & battery tools were stolen.

A police report has been filed, but we are asking the public to keep an eye out for any suspicious listings on platforms such as Facebook Marketplace or Trade Me.

We realise chances of any gear being recovered are next to none, but you never know!

Biggest congratulations goes to our very own Lance Stretch Bradley!
Lance came to us as a gangly 19 year old & he’s worked his ass off since. He qualified at the end of last year, but today’s the day it’s been made official.
Lance is the “class clown”! He’s the one that makes work fun, he’s always up for a laugh & he’s been responsible for setting up our Social Club to ensure that the guys have a good time outside of work too.
But aside from the fun stuff, he’s been running our jobs for a while now & has earned the respect of the rest of the crew.
He’s a skilled builder with a whole lot more potential in his future & always makes sure that everyone is on their A-Game.
It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch him go from strength to strength & we couldn’t be prouder!

The boys have been busy in Woodend!

Last week our guys took over a job for Absolute Homes. After a couple of months of waiting,the owners will be more than happy to see progress finally happening on their new home💚

Boys have been working hard at 135 Aldwins road to get this Faye Homes job a roof on, and wrapped up before xmas break. Safe to say they’re smashing it!

We’ve been quiet on fb lately but the work most definitely has not been (it’s not called the Christmas rush for nothing🎅).

Starting off with 31 Pitcaithly Street, 1 of several Absolute Homes builds, this one kicked off in Halswell 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms plenty of work to keep the crew busy and the spec houses keep on coming.

Moving into town the boys have been busy on another William’s Corporation job. 8 Wilmer street is a multi complex apartment block, which we’ll be smashing our goals for by the end of the year.

Finally at 27 Evesham the boys have just finished up a full house of linea weather boards and axon panels along with all the facings and scribers, they’ll be happy to move inside and away from the elements.

As you can see there’s plenty on and plenty to come!

Why would you not want to live & work here? The view is phenomenal!
Something closer to home for Jimmy & a nice change of pace being out of the city, not to mention a totally different style of build than everything else you’ve seen from us over the last few years.
This home is being built with Absolute Homes, close to Fable Terrace Downs Resort &, in fact, Jimmy’s old stomping ground, having been raised in the back-sticks of the Lake Coleridge area.

Boys have working hard to complete decks over at the beach front job 231 marine parade, meanwhile at 17 Evesham ave Midfloor has been constructed with frames stood just waiting on trusses now. Finally at 85 Wainui trusses fully constructed ready for iron to go on

The boys are all go as we have trusses kicking off at Wainui Street,with a 52 degrees pitch the boys will be having a blast putting purlins on that. Tonga Place has the inside all ready for pre line and the boys will be moving into some cladding soon which will be great experience for our lads. Finally, starting another new job for Faye Homes where the frames are flying up they’ll be ready for the mid floor in no time.
