Hospitality design centred on rhythm, warmth and craft.

For Edizi's new CBD fit-out, the brief called for a space that could move with the day — a daytime café in the morning, an unhurried long lunch at midday, and a destination dinner spot by Friday night.

American White Oak and American White Ash veneer feature throughout the space, paired with Bronze Copper Pearl lacquered detailing across the bar, banquette seating and private dining walls. Full-height oak panelling, floating veneer shelving and a stainless steel bar top bring texture and warmth to a high-traffic commercial environment.

This is a fit-out that had to work hard, durable enough for daily hospitality use, considered enough to feel like somewhere you'd choose to linger.

We're not a flat pack operation. Every project starts with shop drawings, gets manufactured in our Christchurch workshop and installed by our own team, so what you see in the drawings is what lands in your home.

Kitchens, pantries, wardrobes, laundries, bars, TV cabinetry, commercial fit outs. Same material and hardware standard across every zone if that's what you want, or one standout space done properly.

Choosing colours and finishes is where a lot of people stall.

Every option looks good on its own, and it's hard to picture how a benchtop, a cabinet front and a handle finish will sit together once they're in your home with your actual light.

That's what our designers are for. They'll narrow it down to a palette that works, show you how it carries from one space to the next, and stop you second guessing the decision six months later.

What are you looking for in a kitchen?

Not what's trending. What you want. More bench space? Somewhere for the kids to sit? A pantry that hides the chaos? Drawers instead of cupboards because you're sick of crawling around at the back? Or Something that finally looks like you?

Some people come to us with a clear picture and a Pinterest board, others with a floor plan and no idea where to start. Both are fine. Our designers work through the layout, finishes and storage with you, then we draw it, build it in our Christchurch workshop and install it ourselves.

MacMurray Endoscopy & Specialist Centre, Merivale.

One of the most technically demanding jobs we've taken on, and the full joinery package was ours from design coordination through to install.

Main reception with custom seating and staircase works. Two reception counters. Staff areas. Surgery rooms, consult rooms, and bed ends built to run services through.

Medical fit-outs leave no room to move. Tolerances are tighter, hygiene and compliance requirements shape every detail, and the joinery has to work around equipment and services that were locked in long before we arrived. Get one dimension wrong and it shows up in how the room functions, not just how it looks.

There isn't much in a home or a fit-out we can't build.

On the residential side that's bespoke kitchens and pantries, walk-in wardrobes and dressing rooms, laundries and mudrooms, staircases and custom timber features, furniture built to fit spaces nothing off the shelf will, and full renovations including heritage restoration work.

On the commercial side it's hospitality and retail fit-outs, office and corporate interiors, healthcare, medical clinics and specialist facilities, and retirement and aged care.

Whichever it is, the process is the same. Your plans become shop drawings in our own design team, everything is manufactured in our own Christchurch workshop, and our own crew delivers and installs it. One point of contact from the first conversation through to handover.

From a single wardrobe to a complete specialist medical centre, same team, same standard.

So what actually happens after you say yes?

It's four steps, and we handle all of them.

First we talk. What you're building, how you'll use it, what it has to do. We'd rather ask too many questions now than guess.

Then our design team turns your plans into proper technical drawings.

Next it gets built. Our Christchurch workshop, our machinery, our team. Anything from a set of MDF stairs to a full commercial fit-out.

Then we bring it out and install it ourselves. No handing it over to someone else at the last hurdle, and no chasing two companies when you want an answer.

That's it. Four stages, one team, start to finish.

Straight seating is easy. Curved seating has to be formed panel by panel, with every join landing cleanly on the radius and no margin for a setout that's a millimetre out.

Worth it though. A curve makes a room feel considered in a way a straight run never quite does, and it's the first thing anyone notices.
