No matter the size of the project, our standard never changes.

Fire Guard - Fire Stopping Services is currently carrying out intumescent coating works at Takanini MotorHub for Aspec Construction Limited. Whether it's a small touch-up or a large-scale project, every job receives the same level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance.

Quality isn't something we inspect at the end—it's built into every stage of our process.

✔️ Thorough QA on every coating application
✔️ Dry Film Thickness (DFT) testing and verification
✔️ Identification and rectification of low spots
✔️ Compliance with the specified fire protection system
✔️ Detailed documentation for complete traceability

Our goal is simple: deliver work that not only looks good but performs when it matters most.

At FIRE GUARD, compliance isn't optional—it's our standard.

✅ Another Successful Project Delivered

Fire Guard - Fire Stopping Services is proud to announce another successful project completion, with the Auckland Council final inspection officially passed for the passive fire works completed at our client's project, FORM Building & Developments Ltd.

With the final inspection now complete, our team is focused on the last stage of the project—preparing and submitting the completion documentation to ensure a smooth and compliant handover. Delivering quality workmanship is only part of the process; providing complete and accurate documentation is equally important.

This achievement is a testament to the hard work of every member of the FIRE GUARD team—from our installers on site, QA personnel, project managers, and office staff. Your dedication to quality and compliance continues to set the standard.

We would also like to thank FORM Building & Developments Ltd. for their continued trust and partnership, and Fire Engineer for the collaborative approach throughout the project. Strong relationships and teamwork are key to achieving successful outcomes.

Every completed project is another step towards creating safer buildings and protecting the people who use them.

Today, we pause to honour ANZAC Day.

At Fire Guard - Fire Stopping Services, our team is proudly made up of people from different parts of the world who now call New Zealand home. While many of us come from diverse backgrounds, we share a deep respect for the history, sacrifice, and values that ANZAC Day represents.

We acknowledge the courage and service of those who gave so much, and we stand in respect alongside all Kiwis in remembering them.

Lest we forget.

Fire Guard - Fire Stopping Services recently carried out a site scoping and inspection on a 5-year-old building that unfortunately experienced a fire.

During our assessment, we identified that the passive fire protection was not installed correctly and it was evident the work was not completed by a specialist contractor.

Passive fire protection is not something you cut corners on. When it’s done right, it saves lives, protects property, and limits damage. When it’s done wrong, it can completely fail when it matters most.

This is a clear reminder: always engage qualified specialist contractors for passive fire works. Experience and proper installation make all the difference.

Another project successfully completed for BOC Gas.

Our team recently finished the Passive Fire Protection and Intumescent Coating works for their West Auckland Gas Supply Center, where a new fire wall was installed as part of their safety upgrade.

Projects like this are critical in facilities that manage gas supply, where fire protection systems play a vital role in safeguarding infrastructure, operations, and people.

Our scope involved ensuring the structural elements achieved the required fire rating through compliant passive fire protection and intumescent coatings.

Proud of the team for delivering another quality project safely and professionally.

Thank you to BOC Gas for trusting us once again with their fire protection requirements.

On to the next one.

BOC Gas project

From our very first Intumescent Coating project to seeing it almost complete today — what a journey it has been.

This project was a 6-digit contract, and walking back on site now and seeing the progress feels incredibly rewarding.

It reminds us how every big milestone starts with one opportunity, one decision, and a lot of hard work behind the scenes.

Grateful for the team that helped make this happen and proud to see the work coming together exactly as planned.

This is only the beginning — bigger projects and greater things ahead.

This week at our Red Hills Project, the Fire Guard team is completing fire collar installations to plumbing service penetrations.

Every service that passes through a fire-rated element is a potential risk if not treated correctly.

That’s why we focus on compliant systems, correct installation methods, and proper documentation.

Fire stopping isn’t just a tick-box exercise — it’s life safety and asset protection.
