MEETING OF STYLES OSLO 2026 - wowza, what a blast! From the incredible organising by Snorkolini and Hanna Petrine Munkeby to all the incredibly skilled, inspirational and lovely artists i got the honour of painting alongside, all the wonderful people who stopped and talked, all the photographers who took such great pictures - chief amongst them Øistein Jakobsen and René Valdés , all the wonderful volunteers who helped us make it all happen and spread so much great vibes, to the grand cooperation and spot between IDE, and JINKS KUNST DKA this weekend and experience could not have been better.
I chose to paint something close to my heart with this one. In these turbulent times this world-angst ridden artist finds so much hope, connection and joy in moments of shared love and appreciation of life and nature on the various dancefloors made by the electronic music community in Oslo's forests. A week before MOS i had one especially spectacular boogie in the pouring rain with Fragments - where mother nature did her thing to ad to the magical atmosphere by lighting up the sky and forest with pink lighting bolts. To say I had goosebumps as I bounced around would be an understatement. In times of division and growing political polarisation I think we all could benefit from focusing on these moments of unity, magic and our shared experience of this one given life. And so I painted a rendition of ✨️
Thanks to everyone who made this nervous and humbled artists 1 year aniversary with spray cans such an epic experience. Can't wait for more 🔥💕
Also, can you spy the accidental skull in the last picture?
