If you think electrical work is just about twisting red and blue wires, try carrying heavy conduit pipes under today’s heat.
Today’s sun was something else. It felt like it was personally targeting anybody on a site. But work must move.
We’re currently on the piping stage of a new building project, and if you ask me, this is easily the hardest part of wiring a house.
First, the physical work is heavy carrying bundled conduit pipes up and down a raw building under hot sun is no joke. But force alone cannot solve it. You need sharp calculation, if you place just one pipe wrong or miss an angle, you have created a massive problem for yourself when it’s time to pull wires later. So while your body is stressing, your head must be working 100%.
My body was already screaming for a break, butt bills don't understand heat, so you drink water, wipe sweat, and carry on.
By the time we wrapped up for the day, every muscle in my body was aching, but the peace of mind knowing the groundwork was laid right made it all worth it. Nothing beats the feeling of knowing you gave 100% despite the rough conditions.
