Hi Monday,
Be good to me.

The suit is optional. The responsibility isn’t. Starting the week focused on people, performance, and purpose.

TGIF!

Thank God It’s Friday.

After an intensive H1 review, I found a moment of quiet in my office, reflecting with “Start With Why” by Simon Sinek. Sometimes, the best ideas come in the stillness after the hard work.

It feels good to be back at work, energized for what’s ahead.

Happy weekend, everyone! Wishing you rest, reflection, and renewed purpose.

Building businesses doesn’t require a tie every day. Sometimes it just requires clarity, consistency, and a beautiful summer afternoon.

Even CEOs deserve sunshine. The suit can wait, excellence never does. Titles doesn’t have a dress code, eadership is what you carry, not what you wear. Summer in London ☀️🇬🇧

See you soon my people, it’s been a while away!!!!!

Sun’s out, ideas flowing ☀️
Weekends aren’t off days, they’re build days.
While the world slows down, I’m sketching the next move, chasing freedom one decision at a time.

Saturdays hit different when you’re working on something that’s yours. 🌊💼

Building in Nigeria (and across Africa) is not for the weak.

You dream it, write it down, fund it, execute it, then face inflation, policies, compliance, human capital issues, and uncertainty all at once. When it works, they celebrate you. When it doesn’t, the same voices question you then they lecture you and even a CUB roars. But you keep going because that’s what builders do without getting distracted.

Behind the scenes, many founders are carrying heavy, invisible loads, leading teams with a smile while fighting silent battles.

So tonight, cheers to every entrepreneur still standing. Take care of yourself, stay true, and keep pushing, our story matters, even when it’s not loud. 💼✨

The FORGE mentorship, April session is a success and thanks to for bringing about this.

Cheers to our shared success 🥂

5 Realities in the Nigerian Business Environment;

Compliance and Regulations
Compliance is not just a box to tick in Nigeria, it is a survival strategy. Policies change, interpretations differ across institutions, and data requirements can be delicate and sometimes inconsistent. A simple regulatory oversight can delay operations or shut down opportunities.

Human Capital And It Delicacy
There is a common saying: it is easy to make money, but it is not easy to lead people. In our environment, managing people can be one of the toughest parts of business. Our heritage, social structures, and the absence of strong corporate discipline in many sectors mean leaders often face high expectations with inconsistent input. Building a high performance team requires patience, culture building, and constant leadership. And post this journey, reward systems must be fair for retention to happen else your staff turnover rate would rise.

The Funding Challenge
Financial institutions that should ideally fuel commerce often operate primarily as risk controllers. Entrepreneurs face endless due diligence, documentation requests, and questions that sometimes seem disconnected from the realities of building a young business. The journey can feel lonely. But entrepreneurs must be strategic, resilient, and persistent in navigating funding challenges, especially within the African business ecosystem.

The Pressure of Appearances
Many people assume that if you are an MD or founder, you should drive a luxury car and live in a mansion. That mindset can destroy businesses quickly. The truth is that many successful entrepreneurs start in rented spaces, drive modest cars, and quietly build compounding value over time.

The Reality of No Second Chances
In many developed economies, bankruptcy systems and restructuring processes allow businesses to fail and rise again. In much of Africa, including Nigeria, those safety nets are limited and non existent. One wrong financial or strategic decision can sink a business entirely.

Building a business in Nigeria will test your resilience, discipline, and leadership. But if you survive the lessons, share your story.
