Maryam Ibrahim Dan Azumi, who hails from Gombe State in northeastern Nigeria and won the women's category of the World Quran Memorization Competition held in Saudi Arabia where she represented Nigeria, has revealed the secret behind her success in the competition.

Maryam, who is currently in her fourth year at university and also explained to TRT Afrika Hausa the kind of training they receive at home for Quran recitation. Two years ago, her sister Hajara Ibrahim Dan Azumi won the Quran competition in the country of Jordan where she represented Nigeria.
