Someone asked: WHAT CAUSES VOLTAGE DROP IN SOLAR?
THE ANSWER WILL SHOCK YOU 👇

Oga, listen. This one is wasting people’s money.

3 MAIN CAUSES:

1. UNDERSIZED CABLE
You use thin wire for long distance. Power go lost on the way.
Like squeezing water with small hose.

2. LONG DISTANCE
Panel far from controller. Battery far from inverter.
The longer the wire, the more power you lose.

3. LOOSE/DIRTY CONNECTION
Bad tightening, rust. Electricity will jump and drop.

Expert Advice:
Voltage drop = silent killer.
It makes inverter beep, battery not charge, and appliances spoil.
Solution? Use the RIGHT cable size for the RIGHT distance. Tighten well.

I broke down EVERYTHING in my OKJET SOLAR APP 📲

📛HALF-CUT vs FULL CELL PANEL📛
STOP!🚫 DON'T BUY PANELS UNTIL YOU READ THIS 👇

Someone asked me: What’s the difference?

Let me break it down in 2mins:

🔹FULL CELL PANEL
This is the old type.
1 big cell.
Problem: If shade covers small part, the whole panel power will drop.
And if 1 cell spoil, big loss.

🔹HALF-CUT PANEL
They cut the cell into 2. So you have 2 smaller parts inside.
Advantage: If shade covers 1 side, the other side still dey work.
Less heat, less power loss, more efficient.

🔹Expert Advice:
For Nigeria heat and small shade from trees/roof, *Half-Cut is better*.
But Full Cell is cheaper. So it depends on your budget and location.

🔹NOTE THIS:
Buying the wrong panel is not the only wahala.
Wrong cable size, wrong breaker, wrong wiring will still waste that panel.

🔹I explained EVERYTHING inside my OKJET SOLAR APP 📲
Panel selection, settings, wiring diagram, how to size breaker + cable properly to avoid undersized/oversized wahala + complete Installation Tutorials with videos and pictures.

*NOW TELL ME 👇*
Which one did your installer use for you?
Comment "HALF-CUT" or "FULL CELL"
Let’s see which one is more common in Nigeria 👇

Save this before you buy panels.

WAIT! BEFORE YOU CONNECT THAT HYBRID INVERTER... READ THIS 👇

Someone asked me this yesterday and 90% of installers are getting it WRONG 😬

🔹Q1: What’s AC OUTPUT BREAKER for?
Bro, this one is protecting YOUR HOUSE.
If your fridge or wiring get problem, this breaker trips first.
It’s saving your ₦2M inverter from burning.
No output breaker = you’re playing with fire.

🔹Q2: What’s AC INPUT BREAKER for if we already get AVR/AVP?
Listen well.
AVP protects from HIGH/LOW voltage.
But Input Breaker protects from OVERLOAD and SHORT CIRCUIT.
Plus it helps you off NEPA/Gen when you want to service the inverter.
AVP and Breaker are not the same. You need BOTH.

🔹Expert Advice:
This is where people waste money.
Wrong breaker size = light will keep tripping.
Too big breaker = danger will happen and it won’t cut.
You must size breaker + cable properly.

🔹I put everything inside my OKJET SOLAR APP 📲
The exact settings, wiring, which breaker size to use, how to avoid undersized/oversized mistakes, + full Installation Tutorials with videos, diagrams and pictures.

🔹NOW BE HONEST 👇
Did your installer install BOTH breakers for you?
Comment "BOTH" if yes, or "ONLY 1" if no.
Let’s see how many people are at risk right now 👇 So I can give you solutions to it😊

Save this. Send to your electrician.
Don’t let cheap work cost you millions 💡

₦20K DEVICE THAT’S SAVING MY CLIENTS ₦2M APPLIANCES 😳

If you’re running solar and you don’t have this, you’re playing with fire.

It’s called AVP = Automatic Voltage Protector

What it actually does:
1. Cuts power if voltage is too HIGH or too LOW
2. Cuts power* if current is too HIGH - saves your wires from burning
3. Protects against overloads + some models even protect against short circuit
4. Delay timer - so NEPA/Generator won’t spoil your fridge/inverter when it jumps back

2 TYPES:

1. Ordinary AVP
Cheap, reliable. Does the main job: protect your appliances and cut power when there’s danger.

2. Smart AVP🔥
Has Wi-Fi. You can connect to your phone.
See voltage + current live. Get alerts. Control it from anywhere.
More features, more control. Best for solar homes, shops, and offices.

Why it’s IMPORTANT in Solar:
Your inverter is good, but battery low, NEPA surge, or overload can still happen. AVP is the bodyguard between your ₦800K fridge/TV/inverter and total damage.

Don’t wait till something burns before you learn.

Let me explain it step by step in simple English:

PART 1: THE WIRING CONNECTION WITH PROTECTIONS

>The correct flow is this:
Solar Panel to Breaker to Surge Protection Device to Charge Controller to Battery to Breaker to Inverter to Automatic Voltage Regulator to House

>Step 1: Solar Panel to Charge Controller*
Connect the positive and negative wire from your solar panel.
Before the wire enters the charge controller, install a Direct Current Breaker first. This breaker helps you switch the solar on and off safely.
After the breaker, install a Direct Current Surge Protection Device. This one protects your system from lightning and power surge.
Then connect to the plus and Solar minus terminal on the charge controller.

>Step 2: Battery to Charge Controller*
Always connect the battery first before connecting solar.
Put another Direct Current Breaker or Fuse between the battery positive and the controller.
Connect battery positive and negative to the Battery plus and Battery minus terminal on the charge controller.
The controller needs to see the battery so it can know if it is 12 Volt or 24 Volt system.

>Step 3: Battery to Inverter*
Use thick cable to connect from battery to inverter.
Put a Direct Current Breaker in between. The size of the breaker depends on the size of your inverter.
Connect to the Battery plus and Battery minus terminal on the inverter.

>Step 4: Inverter to House*
The inverter gives 220 Volt Alternating Current. Before it goes to your house, pass it through protection.
First install an Alternating Current Breaker. This is for safety and control.
Next install an Alternating Current Surge Protection Device. This protects your appliances from sudden power surge.
Last install an Automatic Voltage Regulator. This stabilizes the voltage so your fridge, television and fan will not spoil.

PART 2: CHARGE CONTROLLER SETTINGS

Step 1: Switch on the battery first.
Step 2: Go to battery type setting and select the one that matches your battery. Example: Lithium Ion or Lead Acid or User Defined.
Step 3: Set the charging voltage. Check your battery label.
Example: 12 Volt Lithium Ion battery is 12.6 Volt. 24 Volt Lead Acid battery is 28.8 Volt.
Step 4: Set the charging current. Use this simple rule. Battery Ampere Hour times 0.3.
Example: 100 Ampere Hour battery times 0.3 equals 30 Ampere.
Save the settings and allow it to charge.

PART 3: NON HYBRID INVERTER SETTINGS

A non hybrid inverter only changes battery Direct Current to 220 Volt Alternating Current. It does not charge from solar.

Step 1: Set the low battery cut off voltage. This protects your battery from going too low.
Example: 12 Volt system is 10.5 Volt. 24 Volt system is 21 Volt.
Step 2: Set the output voltage to 220 Volt to 230 Volt.
Step 3: If the inverter has a charger for public power or generator, set the charging current low.
For 100 Ampere Hour battery, use 10 Ampere to 20 Ampere. Do not use high current.

Remember, to charge the battery you will need public power or generator. Solar charging is done only by the charge controller.
