Same footprint. More light, more air, more space.

We chose not to expand the house, but to rethink what was already there. By lifting the roof, natural light reaches deeper into the interior, while hot air can escape upwards.

Sometimes, making a house feel bigger isn’t about adding more. It’s about letting the existing space breathe again.

Honoured to be invited to an international roundtable exchange between Malaysia and China architects, sharing perspectives on architecture, culture, and the future of our built environment.

Different contexts. Different perspectives. One shared passion for architecture.

Is this what the future of living looks like?

What if home was more than just a place to sleep?

Imagine waking up, working from a space just steps away, having your meals taken care of, and unwinding without ever leaving the building.

Introducing The Ninth — a co-living and co-working project in Petaling Jaya, rethinking how we live, work and connect.

More than just a room. More than just an office. A place where everyday life comes together, balancing personal space with shared experiences.

Because perhaps the future of living isn’t about having more space, but about making better use of the spaces we share.

Would you live here?

Save this for the future, or share it with someone you’d live with.

What if home, work and leisure could exist under one roof?

The Ninth is a co-living and co-working project in Petaling Jaya, designed around the way we live today.

A place to call home. A space to get work done. Meals taken care of, and spaces to unwind when the working day is over.

The idea goes beyond putting different facilities into one building. It’s about bringing the everyday closer together, making room for both independence and connection, without having to move between so many places.

At The Ninth, living and working are no longer two separate parts of the day. They become part of the same environment.

In Loving Memory of Ar. Jimmy Lim

It is with great sadness that we remember Prof Dr. Ar. Jimmy Lim, a true pioneer and an important figure in Malaysian architecture.

Jimmy was one of the mentors who guided us when we first started Futurground. We were fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet him, share our ideas with him, and listen to his thoughts on architecture, material, context and, most importantly, the responsibility of an architect.

Thank you, Jimmy, for your generosity, your honesty, and for reminding us that architecture is ultimately about more than buildings.

Your voice will continue to guide us.

Rest in peace, Ar. Jimmy Lim. 1944-2026

Today, our Director Pinky Tan joined the Urban Transformation Series by Urby x UrbanWave for a dialogue on rethinking Kuala Lumpur’s houses

It was a full house, with a great crowd coming together for an open conversation about transforming the existing fabric of our mature neighbourhoods.

Also thank to our client who travelled all the way from Singapore to be there and support us. It truly means a lot to us

Thank you Urby and UrbanWave for having Pinky on the panel, alongside Fabian and Leonard.
